“You know I’m not like you,” he says softly after a moment, swallowing hard.
“I know,” Ivan says easily, nonchalantly. Like it doesn’t matter either way.

Till needed a drink ten minutes ago. Dewey rubbing salt in the wound was not helping, good-natured though the jokes were. It was also becoming embarrassing how long he had been sulking for— he ran into Mizi kissing her girlfriend behind the Philosophy building almost two months ago now. Maybe the encounter had given him PTSD. Heartbreak-PTSD. “I just lost the love of my life who was never even mine”-PTSD… If Till said any of that out loud, it would probably summon Ivan from some new depth of hell with fake tears in his eyes to smother him. Those unfairly toned arms of his would wrap around Till in a vice grip to ‘kiss him better.’ Till felt a shudder roll through him.
God, what a freak. Why doesn’t Till have any normal friends?
