He paused, not knowing quite what to say. On one hand, he could do what his therapist said to do and invite the bug into his home because despite everything he kinda felt bad for the guy, and on the other hand he could just say something along the lines of ‘Good luck in the streets, you fuckin’ arsehole’.

“It’s selfish,” Arthur breathes.
“Tell me anyway.”
“Want you to stay with me. With us, I mean. Don’t want you to leave ever.”
Charles gets it now. Arthur loves him just not in the way Charles loves him back. Arthur loves him as a companion, a dearest friend. This is how men are supposed to love each other.
“Okay,” Charles says matter-of-factly, and pulls his shirt over his head. “I won’t leave ever. Let’s get some sleep.”:::::::
