Summary
As the flood subsides and the rest of the Chain relocate them in the cave, Wild had to reconcile his recent past with the new, distant past he remembers after Time saved him from Twilight's violence. But when Sky offers to dowse for where their missing companion is, what he finds is not his body but a new golden portal to a new place.
A new place, with a new companion: the wolf Wild now remembers, a shy and quiet one in place of the violence he knew before.
