"... The Pale King stood there in his dim workshop staring into the pit of ash and charcoal. His mind searched for words to conjure a response that the nightmarish creature could not hear, but came up empty. Perhaps the stress of his visit had finally caught up to him. He brought his hand to rub his temple and, slowly, his gaze drifted to the silver apparatus on the table next to him. The first part of the plan was complete. But as tired as he was, there was still much left to do and he was determined. A low, deep sigh escaped from deep in his chest as a thought echoed annoyedly in his mind; ‘Gods.’ "
What if the Pale King had taken a different route in snuffing out the infection? What if the Radiance fell, but persisted in a weakened form? Will she grow content with her predicament? Will she have her revenge on the wyrm or will she find her herself getting used into the life of an ordinary bug in Hallownest? And most of all, is she the same being she used to be?

The vessel that successfully rose to the Godseeker's challenge, Ghost, has been gifted control over this massive sea of void. They are the Shade Lord, and with that, they are a God.
Any and everything that once was void has now congealed into the Shade Lord as well. All previous vessels, the king's experiments, and some... uh... very unfortunate companions...
Such as an angry self-proclaimed knight with a superiority complex, and a crazed, grub-obsessed failed kingsmould.Oh, no. Wait. This isn't what Ghost signed up for.

The laughter that echoes throughout the City of Tears can be tracked down to a single source. A strange woman, keeping herself locked away, miraculously alive amongst the patrolling husks that fell to Infection.
Pauses in between the bouts of laughing are few and far between. If anyone were left alive to hear it, I'm sure they'd find it ghastly... especially with how unhinged and deranged it continues to get.It's a wonder how she became this way.
