“Mmthanks” Soap mumbles and moves back to fully sit in his chair. He is definitely not thinking about the ways Simon is visual and tactile as well.
Simon hands Soap his journal and waits for Soap to say anything more. Which he doesn’t because he can’t because Simon has said things to him that no one has ever said. It’s the opposite of his nightmare from last week. He’s sitting in the office of someone who would’ve been his superior if they were still enlisted and he’s being told he’s talented and intuitive like it’s nothing. But it’s not nothing. It’s everything.

Three months after being medically discharged, Soap is feeling aimless and in need of support. He goes to his local Veterans Association and meets with social worker Simon Riley, who helps him find a new way forward

Summary
It's been fifty four days since Ghost shut down, cold and silent as he stormed out of his quarters. Soap fucked up, plain and simple. He said something he shouldn’t have, didn’t give any thought to how it could be taken, and he knew it the moment it left his lips. Some nights he wants to barge inside Ghost’s room and beg him to just end it all, to smother Soap's misery gone. Soap can’t recall how he went through life before Ghost, but he can’t go on after him.

Ghost smirked and let his pants drop down half an inch, exposing the top half of his bush. "What d'you think, sergeant, you want a taste now? Or save it for later?" he asked, letting them fall just a little bit more until his cock was almost visible.
