Slow updates possibly, because I have trauma with DV myself. This fic started as a project to help me work through my trauma, but after I got a little tipsy and decided to post it on TikTok a lot of people wanted to read this fic. I hope this finds someone who will enjoy reading as much as I will enjoy writing, but due to how close to home the abuse aspect is, it might be a while between chapters. But I promise I won't abandon it, and will still post as regularly as I can. This fic is too important for me to just abandon 🤗 Y'all just might have to bear with me.
Also some of the chapters are REALLY long lol so it takes a while to edit them.

Every excuse landed heavier than the last. And slowly, so slowly he didn’t notice until it was already too late, the progress he’d made began to erode. The hopelessness crept back in, familiar and cruel, dragging him backward. He didn’t make friends. Not real ones. His roommate was unbearable. His classes felt endless. Each day blurred, dull and colorless. So when the year finally ended and they decided to live together, Mike didn’t hesitate. He’d latched onto the idea like a lifeline. Just him and Will. No dorms. No distance. Mike and Will, like it used to be. Against the world.

Ok with the stranger things hype coming back into play this is for some reason getting a bunch of attention so i feel the need to write this note. I wrote this story 2 or 3 years ago and it was last updated almost a year ago and has NOT BEEN UPDATED SINCE. It is INCOMPLETE!! However, if you're seeing this note and it says it has been updated recently then that means I'm finally completing it because I do plan on eventually one day in the distant future doing so and I will not be uploading until I've written everything on google docs bc i know for a fact i WILL procrastinate.
