The rain hammered down on the dirt as a bloody fist broke the surface, pulling the corpse underneath to breach the dirt and be born again.
Jason spat, a mix of blood and dirt that hit the ground as he dragged himself out of his grave and to his knees, carefully sucking in the bitterly cold air that filled his burning lungs. He rolled over onto his back and let the rain batter his face as he lay there, eyes screwed shut while he desperately tried to rationalise his situation.
He rolled his head to read the gravestone and gawked. He should be dead; if not from the torture and explosion, then definitely from being buried for weeks.
'I must be dreaming,' He thought, 'This is all just some fucked up nightmare and I'll wake up back home and-'
A blinding pain rocked his brain and all Jason could do was sob and heave as his fried nerves tried to make sense of all the agony. His brain was on fire, flooding his body with as many endorphins as it physically could as he stung and ached with different pains that left him breathless at the end of it all.
"Ffffffuck...." He rasped.
He needed to see Alfred... Dick... Bruce... Anyone.
He was alive, somehow.
He needed answers. -

“Under these circumstances, yeah,” the guy said primly. “I've got connections, little bird, and I've dealt with him before, much to my Bruce's annoyance.”
Bruce pulled the Cowl off with a glare. “Dr. Fate is not someone you can just call at your whim.”
A snort came from the helmet. “He is if I'm at risk of collapsing the multiverse. Now, y’gonna let me use your fancy-ass supercomputer to call the Justice League, or do I have'ta call Constantine?”
Bruce looked like he'd bitten into a lemon. “We'll take the Zeta.”
