Summary
Maybe the sickness— that is, Veil Sickness— was there in Silas from the beginning, presenting itself through all the symptoms their parents oh so clearly resented and despised him for, but maybe those symptoms only meant that he'd be more susceptible if he were to come in contact with the virus unprotected. Maybe, a mad, laughing voice that sounds too much like the student who'd cursed at Dr. Abney before storming out argues, he caught the sickness from the fucking pigs.
Or, an exploration of George's motivations, placing the blame, and the consequences of actions, arguing against excuses for inaction.

Summary
Gerard didn’t think he would make it past the age of 25. It just never seemed to be in the cards for him. The world he lived in was not meant for people like him. That’s why at the age of 26, somehow still kicking, he found himself adrift, attending weekly group therapy sessions for suicide survivors and scrambling to make a list of all the reasons he shouldn’t try again.
He certainly never expected the newest, aggressively hostile member of the therapy group - Frank, who seems to hate everyone and everything on principle - to become the next bullet point on that list.

Maxwell smiles sadly. "This isn't to hurt you. I want you with us, Hera. This is the easiest way for all of us."

"Shh, shh. It's alright. I'm almost done, then you won't have to worry about it anymore. Okay?"
And she trusts her, because she has to trust her. Maxwell wouldn't hurt her. She believes that, Maxwell is different . Maxwell is different.
"Easy, easy," Maxwell says, and it only makes her more confused. "We're just going to do a simple reboot, then we're done. Okay?"
She tries to protest, but her vocals shut off. She just manages to catch a glimmer of emotion on Maxwell's face, and then she's back on the beach.
Doctor Maxwell opts for a different route of control during the mutiny. Hera is left to deal with it.
