Aspheera tries to banish Wu to the Never-Realm, as revenge for imprisoning her for all those years. In two acts of sacrifice, Cole and Zane find themselves banished instead.
In a desolate, icy realm far from the place they called home, their only hope is survive long enough to find a way back to Ninjago. But something happens while Cole is collecting kindling, and he returns to find a strange man in their cave, and Zane no longer acting like the friend he once knew.
Left to die by someone he once considered a brother, Cole is taken in by a village of Formlings. But there's a growing threat just beyond the forest surrounding the village, and the inhabitants of the Never-Realms will soon learn just how dangerous elemental powers can be.

The rules are quite simple:
-Humans are dangerous, and want to steal our gold and food.
-Any human seen in our waters- above or below the waves- will be executed for trespassing.
-Gifted sirens are required to become guards.
-The Siren King is always right.
-Failure to follow the rules will have severe consequences.But what happens when a mother decides this isn't the life she wants for her son, especially after she's seen the wonders the surface offers, and the great power she knows he will inherit?
And her son's not keen on returning to his troubled home after she's given him the chance at freedom.

Cole is a siren, and Lilly sent him to the surface to live with Wu- without the King's permission. Then the Ninja visit the beach near the Siren Kingdom, and all hell breaks loose. Also, the Siren King is a manipulative douche. -

For those who grew up with the show and loved it, but now see all the problems with the writing. This is for you. :)
I will be staying as close to canon as possible, with a few key details altered and characters actually growing throughout the show. (Also, I promise Jay is less whiny.)
Alternatively:
You ever go back and rewatch a show from when you were really little then realize the writing could be better so you rewrite the entire show with more angst, character growth, and darker themes?

Summary
During their search for their Master, Cole follows a lead to a mage who could possibly give them information on where to look. However, facing her alone was a mistake, one he's forced to deal with when he ends up with a curse. The clock is ticking as a plant grows in his chest in response to his romantic feelings toward Zane.
Cole is desperate to find a solution, one that doesn't involve confessing his feelings or removing them completely. With the help of Pixal and some other friends from his past, they might be able to manage it.

OR
Cole is a gay, gay man, and Zane is so, so not well. Rewrite of the Ice Chapter because I don't think we had enough time spent on Ice Emperor Zane, and I feel like we don't get the lonely feeling of the Never Realm with all the ninja present.
