Summary
A mysterious group, calling themselves the Council, have grown sick of the hostility towards non-humans, and have decided to fight back. Gem and Pearl, along with sixteen others, have been called to a sort of summer program meant to train them to fight crime in the city and prove to the world that they aren’t like their ancestors. Though, history does have a tendency to repeat itself.
Meanwhile, Pearl is struggling with feelings for the girl who hates her guts, and Gem is struggling with pride, forgiveness, and eventually, feelings of her own.
