“Have you ever heard the legend of soulmates?” she asks as her eyes scan the page.
“Uh, only from stories.”
“Then you know that Tui and La were the first soulmates in existence. Two halves of one whole. They were so joyous of their union that they wanted to share that gift with mortals. But the universe had other plans, making soulmates extremely rare and cursed with hardship and loss. The only way to know is that soulmates share dreams, share bending, and, most importantly, share their love lines,” she points to the top crease on his hand, where two deep lines run parallel to each other before intertwining with hatches and crosses and connecting finally.
Then it strikes him, her comment about sharing dreams, sharing bending, and it’s like he can feel his inner flame roar to life. The fire between them flares.
“Soulmates are very, very rare, and are known to change the course of the world,” she murmurs, caressing the line. “The last known pair was Sozin and Roku, and it seems the spirits have chosen you.”

At the Naval Academy, that meant being the fastest 200 meter freestyle swimmer they’d ever seen, meant being Valedictorian of his class and graduating with an aerospace engineering degree. At the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station, it meant getting the top scores, it meant being sent to Top Gun. In the Navy, it meant being the only current generation Navy pilot to have a confirmed air combat kill since Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell.

“Like hell I do,” he grumbles back as he watches the Gambit match going on. Red team needs to step up their game next round if they want to win.
He hears a frustrated sigh. “It pertains to what... they showed us.”
Drifter tenses, frozen for merely a second before putting his care-free persona up front and center. It’s a good thing Eris can’t see him over the transmission, can’t see the way his hands have started to shake despite his clenched fists. He knows his silence is telling enough. He flicks on the AI commentator for the match and turns away from the screen. “Is it—?”
“Yes,” she interrupts.
“I’ll be there in an hour.”

Anakin and Obi-Wan are sent on an undercover operation as an alpha and omega bonded pair in the middle of the Clone Wars. Someone on Cantonica is funneling credits to the Separatists, and it's going to take infiltrating a top secret alpha-supremacist group of Core elites to find out who's upping the financial ante of the entire war.
This act of espionage is going to require some class A play at antiquated alpha and omega dynamics, only problem is Anakin has never submitted in his life and it's certainly not within his nature,or so Obi-Wan thinks.
