Summary
When his brother gets engaged, Aaron doesn't expect it to send his head spinning as much as it does. Marriage has always felt like a dream, or a nightmare, one he never thought either of them would be able to achieve.
In that moment, Aaron remembers what he's always known, what keeps his head above water. He wants to be with Katelyn forever. That's never been a question. But marriage hadn't been brought up. For so long it was this abstract concept, a fantasy. He'd always reasoned with himself that it would happen, rationally of course it would, but now...
Now Andrew has made the idea a reality, and Aaron has to confront his own wants for his future.

Summary
Regulus knows James Potter. The kind of music he likes, what he does in his free time, every single detail he can absorb.
James does not know him.
Sirius has made sure of that, keeping his mentally unwell brother far away from the object of his obsession. Funnily enough, it's James who comes to Regulus. Well-meaning, curious with no idea what he's getting into.
The lines between love and obsession are blurry and hard to read.
“No, we’re friends now, remember? I know it hasn’t been long, but I think I’m learning you, aren’t I?”

James had Regulus, but he didn’t know him. Regulus knew James but didn’t have him.
“Maybe you could,” was all Regulus could say in response. That was a truth. James could probably learn Regulus inside and out. Regulus would offer that if it didn’t mean breaking down the fixation—the rotting truth behind their growing relationship.

“I missed you,” Barty says simply, shrugging his shoulders as if it was obvious.
Maybe it was. Regulus feels warmth spreading through his body at the thought that Barty had missed him. He lifts a duvet a bit and pats a place next to him. “Are you coming?”
Barty smiles before laying down. “Of course.”
Regulus feels Barty's arm wrapping around him, while he places his head on Barty’s chest and he sighs contently. He missed Barty too.

Regulus has been disowned and is trying to adjust to his new life, but frankly, he just wants to spend time with his best friend. Barty just wants to make everything easier for Regulus, but there are times when he's only making things harder and he can only hope that his best friend won't leave him because of that.
