Summary
Tony Stark was not prepared to get attacked by a literal child of all things during one of their typical missions destroying another typical Hydra base.
He was even less prepared for the way he was moving heaven and hell to free that child from those Hydra bastards, without even knowing his name yet.
He was even lesser prepared to handle the whirlwind of emotions said child - Peter - unleashed in the mechanic the moment they had safely brought him to the tower.
He was the absolutely least bit prepared for the horrifying truth uncovered in a dna sample of the kid.

Peter Parker is raised by Hydra and the Avengers coincidentally stumble upon him during one of their missions. Completely horrified that Hydra resorts to using children as weapons, they set out to find him and free him from their clutches. The thought never crossed Steve’s mind that maybe the entire world was standing in your way, because you were the one trying to do it wrong. Steve hadn’t had the time to listen. First stopping the accords form happening, saving Bucky and then getting his friends out of the claws of a government which thought itself almighty. It was only a few days after the events of Siberia that Steve couldn’t ignore the rest of the world anymore. The people his team had been fighting for had something to say and they demanded their voice being heard. They were telling him to move.
