Death is usually the end. Finality. That's kind of the definition of it.
And falling several stories toward concrete usually meant death. Timothy Drake had certainly assumed as much in the final seconds before he hit the sidewalk at terminal velocity.
But Tim should have realized that, given the complexity of his life, his death would never be that cut and dry.

Summary
The biting, frigid winter wind hit Tim like a freight train as he sauntered down the dark, grimy streets of Park Row. His gut told him that a snowstorm was most likely headed their way, but with Gotham’s near-constant shitty weather, it was hard to tell most of the time. He had made the foolish decision of wearing a crop top and mini skirt, only covered by a cheap faux-fur coat one of the girls gave him as a hand-me-down. It barely did anything to combat the cold temperature, but at least he looked absolutely fuckable enough for any potential customers. The only problem was that the dark streets of Park Row were empty as Tim went through his usual nightly route.
Tim had come to accept that he would rot in this sleepless city that he called home, but he didn’t think it would be so soon.
After waking up from a coma with no memories intact, Timothy tries to survive by selling his body in the dark and cruel streets of Gotham City.

Summary
“Baby Bird?” Jason’s voice shifted, softened into something almost fragile, as if he were speaking to a child. Maybe, in his eyes, Tim was exactly that. The familiar nickname—so wrong, so tender—sent a tremor down Tim’s spine. Jason never called him that. Jason never spoke to him with warmth.
Jason hated Tim.
He shut his eyes tight, praying this was just a cruel dream. But then warm hands cupped his face, grounding him. A metallic clatter echoed through the cave, sharp and final. The gun had hit the floor.
“No, no, no—don’t close those blue eyes, Baby Bird. Look at me,” this time Jason’s voice cracked into a plea. Every word trembled with fear, with a need that made Tim’s chest tighten painfully. Tim bit down on a sob, the taste of salt and blood filling his mouth, forcing himself to lift his gaze and meet the toxic green fire of Jason’s eyes once more. He could feel the tremor in Jason’s hands, the way his knees pressed into the cold floor, and it made his own body ache with tension.
