“Congratulations!” Wild gasped, grinning ear to ear. And the others—
Wolfie reared back from the women with a violent sneeze. Hyrule tripped over thin air. Wind’s eyes went comically wide. Sky made a weird squawking noise. Four’s mouth dropped in silent horror.
“Oh, how wonderful!” Warriors said, serenely oblivious to the chaos happening around him. And Legend?
Legend was going to kill everyone in the Chain and then himself. Because are you fucking serious.
Time gets pregnant. Everyone else notices this before he does.
(AKA: I saw all the trans!Time headcanons, and then thought, "Wait, if Twilight is his canonical blood descendent then that means..." promptly followed by, "You know what would be really fucking funny.")

Once upon a time, the news would have been cause for celebration. Instead, Leo’s heart was heavy and sad. “Are you sure?”
Casey nodded, chin pointed and jutting. She held herself tall and strong, but Leo could see the wobble forming in her lower lip and the tight clench of her jaw. “I had Donnie help me get a test. And it's—” her composure broke for just a moment, her next breath coming in sharp and ragged. “It was positive.”

Summary
Leo had been 16 years old, and he remembered the completely paralyzing feeling of not knowing what to do. That static, sickly feeling of utter hopelessness as he watched people get turned into zombies on screen until all news feeds were cut out. Remembered turning to Raph, his big brother, desperately searching for answers he’d never understand as he tried not to cry too.
There hadn’t been anything for them to do but watch as slowly but surely, the apocalypse started right over their heads. Nothing to do but listen to the screams and crashes from above and the roar of monsters they didn’t understand.

The NHL keeps a Central Registry of every team’s Emergency Backup Goaltender, or EBUG, an individual who must be prepared to play for either the home or visiting team should both goalies be taken out of commission. When the Registry was digitized in the mid 90’s a clerical error was made, and David Hollander has remained on file as Montreal’s EBUG. When Boston plays a preseason game in Montreal at the beginning of the 2017/2018 season, both of their goalies are taken out and David Hollander suddenly finds himself in the net in Boston black and yellow.
