The energy in the room was electric. Gurathin and I realized at the same time that we had SecUnit's full attention. Even its earlier stare paled compared to this. I’d never experienced anything like it before. It was like a palpable weight and it made my heart start racing. Its face, so often inscrutable, was filled with possessiveness and arousal.
