A mild alteration on the security of blood bag distribution was one of the many changes that meant nothing to the average citizen of Brypso 3 37 and meant absolutely everything to Dust. She clutched in her hands a bag- the *last* bag, her brain intrusively reminded her- of type O+ blood. Her usual phlebotomist had given her a pitying look as they explained they couldn't help her anymore. Policy changes, structural changes, blah blah blah more of the affini coming in and making things more efficient and benevolent and whatever. Dust didn't care about the broad strokes of a shifting world until it decided to come in and barrel her over.

What is a monster?
Avid didn't know who he was. They tell him he believed in vampires, would shout it from the rooftops when he could, but he doesn't remember that. He can't remember anything, and this person they're describing, he isn't sure he likes it. Still, with chronic pain from a wound in his neck and the growing threat of vampires - who are apparently real, by the way - he'll need to figure out where he stands, so that maybe, hopefully, he can make it out of this alive.

The vampire hums thoughtfully, a dangerous gleam in those blood colored eyes. "Just because you're pretty doesn't mean I'll just let you kill me."
"What?!-" The human's exclamations of shock get cut off as the vampire effortlessly flips them over to pin the ravenette down with supernatural strength, knocking the wooden stake out of his hands in the process. The clattering of the weapon as it skids across the floor is deafening in his ears as panic floods his very soul.
"Such a reckless human, I think you ought to be taught a lesson." His chuckle echoes with a cruel tone, the creature's smile one of vicious malice.
The pit in his stomach grows ever wider, threatening to consume him whole.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Avid shouts, panicking and struggling as the vampire descends upon his neck.
Sharp canines pierce into his skin swiftly.
Before he can even think, he's moaning, wanton and loud, shocking both himself and Scott, who pulls back immediately to stare down at the shorter man.

Or, Interesting developments make Scott decide to keep Avid around. They are very gay in the process.

Summary
Scott was hungry once. Not in the way Owen was, scrapping for scraps - there was nay a day went by at the manor without a lavish spread - nor hungry for revenge enough to butcher thousands and guzzle down their agonies.
But, like most if not all vampires, he too was once insatiable and newly turned, although never quite loosing the decorum of pedigree of class expectant of a young manor lord, although unlike this newest generation of vampires, Scott had no complaints about a little blood or drinking down once friends to satisfy his hunger.
Avid is a hungry thing. Ravenous, even.
