she looks back down to meet his gaze, picking up her fork to poke at her cold food distractedly.
“they just get so… cuddly. and touchy-feely, i guess.”
there’s a brief, silent pause in which rumi and jinu stare at each other with what feels like the weight of the world on their shoulders. jinu eventually breaks first.
“oh my god,” he breathes out the breath he didn’t even realise he was holding harshly before smothering his face into his hands.
“what?” rumi snaps defensively, her brows tightening into a tiny, self-conscious frown.
“nothing,” he sighs, dragging his hands down his face. “i just can’t believe that your problem is two of the hottest women on campus wanting to cuddle with you after sex.”

“Rumi!”
The maknae maneuvers around the counter and runs up to Rumi, nearly knocking the taller woman down as she runs into her, wrapping her arms tightly around her.
Rumi tenses at first, finding the physical contact foreign. She hasn't been hugged—besides from last night—for a long time. With the exception of what happened in the limo, she can't remember the last time she was in this situation. The closest one was when Jinu grabbed her in the bathhouse but that wasn't really a hug. Even Celine wouldn't hug her when she begged for her to do what she should have done.
Rumi slowly relaxes into it, bringing her arms up to take Zoey into her arms. The more she relaxes, the more comforting the hug feels.
“I love you so much, Rumi. I'm sorry about everything. I want you to know how much you mean to me, to us.”
The tears that were threatening in her eyes now come pouring out of her as she squeezes Zoey so hard she squeaks.
Zoey squeezes her back tighter and Rumi realizes she does in fact like hugs, at least from Zoey. She rarely experienced it before and whenever she did, she was too worried about her patterns to enjoy it. But now? She wants to keep Zoey in her arms forever.

Mira spun, she was no longer alone on the roof. Another girl had emerged from the staircase, probably around her around her age. “I’m not going to jump,” Mira said, a little taken aback. “I just needed some air.”
The girl approached Mira. She sat on the edge next to Mira. “I’m assuming you’re finding this party as dreadful as I am.”
Mira let out a little chuckle. “You could say that.” She took another sip of champagne before offering it to the new girl. “I’m Mira. Champagne?”
