Kamden groans as he covers his face with his hands. He can’t believe this is happening right now, in the middle of the dining hall— he didn’t imagine that his actions would come to bite him in the ass so soon.
Matthew paid no mind to Kamden’s growing sense of dilemma, mouth hanging open in shock. He presses even further while Ricky smugly leans back and proceeds to munch on his food as if he didn’t just drop the biggest bomb on the two across from him.
“Kamden. Kamden. No way are you just gonna take these claims without a word. What in the world does Ricky mean when he says you almost confessed to Jay?!”
(AKA. After Kamden’s failed attempt, Ricky and Matthew do their best to encourage and convince him to finish what he started over lunch.

Before Kamden can even fully process what is happening, Jay sends a quick thumbs up his way, nodding his head.
Kamden’s eyes widen at the action, the world fading away as he focuses on Jay and Jay only in the few seconds they share eye contact. His heart rate rises, his hands clenching way too tightly on themselves— but somehow, his mind is calmer now than it has ever been this entire day. He nearly feels like he is floating, almost forgetting where he was and the weight of the situation they were all in.
The weight of the situation that Kamden and Jay were in.(AKA. During the third elimination, all Kamden and Jay can do is support each other in the small ways that they can with the little time they have left. While they hope and pray for the best for each other, in that moment, they have no way of knowing what may come next.)

Jay’s head feels like it’s swimming, waves of something near intoxicating and tranquillizing washing over him. Kamden’s large, deep eyes reflecting the shining lights of the photo booth are staring back at him, expectant, but oh so very patient in its gaze.
Jay gets some inexplicable feeling in that moment that, if he asked him to, Kamden would wait for him forever.
It doesn’t matter for what, and for whatever reason— Kamden just would, with the absolute trust that Jay would come back to him.
