The Heart of a Home

Summary:

It's no surprise to anyone that Yoongi and Jimin are the heart of the Min home, but if you asked them, they would say it's their grandpups.

Chapter 1: Month 385

Chapter Text

Yoongi and Jimin hurried out of the kitchen with the rest of the watch party snacks they'd prepared and into the living room where all of their friends, Hajoon and his family, and Eunji and her family were spread around the furniture with the TV turned on to ABC. "Two minutes left." Hajoon informed them as he gently bounced Logan in his arms to soothe the slightly fussy three-week-old.

"Why do we have to wait two minutes?" Jason asked.

"Yeah." Jina chimed in from where she was curled up on Jungkook's lap. "Why can't we just start it now?"

Yoongi chuckled at the two six-year-olds. "You two are getting a taste of the world we grew up in before streaming." Both pups stared blankly at him. "You have to wait until its scheduled time to watch it and then you can't skip through commercials. You use that time to go to the bathroom and refill your snacks."

Jina scrunched her nose. "Who would want to do that?"

"We didn't have a choice." Jungkook said, ruffling the six-year-old alpha's hair.

"But you said you and Netflix are the same age." Jina looked up at her grandfather in confusion.

"Well yeah but back then they mailed you DVDs to watch." Jungkook explained. "It was a long time before you could just open it on the TV and pick something to watch."

Jina blinked at him for a moment. "I don't believe you."

Hailey suddenly shushed her. "Mama says Hana gomo's tv show is starting!"

They all quieted down and turned their attention to the TV where the pilot episode of The Korean Americans opened up on an image of a 10-year-old female omega who was obviously supposed to be Hana curled up on a cot in a school nurse's office while clutching her stomach. "Oh my god, the guilt from 20 years ago is coming back." Jimin muttered, putting his face in his hands as he recalled how he'd been in such a rush that morning of Hana's first heat that he'd ignored his maternal urge to double check that Hana was okay after not eating her breakfast and instead just hurried her off to school. "This is where we find out how much she resents us for this moment."

"She does not resent us." Yoongi assured Jimin, wrapping an arm around him and tugging him into his side.

Yoongi was right in that the episode didn't show any resentment their daughter was secretly harboring towards them. Rather the 30 minute episode explored Hana's struggle with having been the first in her class to reach puberty, how that affected the way her peers and teachers treated her, and how her parents' support had played the biggest role in her overcoming her anxieties and insecurities--as well as the fact that her best friends hadn't treated her any differently than they had before she'd had her first heat--along with setting up the Min family dynamics, particularly how 'disgustingly in love' Yoongi and Jimin were, in Hana's own words.

"Well, that was interesting seeing how Hana perceives us." Hoseok mused once the episode was over.

"I feel like it was pretty accurate." Taehyung mused.

"I think I should have gotten more screen time." Eunji said.

Bai raised his eyebrows at her. "You do realize it's not actually you on the TV, right?" Eunji responded by pinching the underside of his bicep.

"Be nice to Eomma." Bo said, frowning at his dad while hugging Eunji, much to the 25-year-old omega's amusement.

As everyone began to gather their things to head home--Eunji and Bai going first since they had to get their pups to bed--Seokjin snorted and looked up from where he'd immediately gotten on his phone after the show ended. "The Ask Conway Facebook group is full of people claiming this show is 'too woke' and 'not a proper representation of our community'."

Jimin scoffed. "It's a proper representation of our community."

"People don't like Hana gomo's show?" Jason asked with a pout as Hajoon tried to lead him to his room to get him ready for bed. "Why?"

"Because people are stupid." Seokjin said.

Hana had just settled in to nurse David to sleep, the toddler having been too excited after being allowed to stay up later to watch the premiere of The Korean Americans to go to bed at a decent time--when her phone started buzzing in her pajama pants pocket. She maneuvered to pull it out without upsetting David, since he was well in his overtired grouch phase, and saw that it was Minhee wanting to FaceTime. Hana quickly answered the call and the video opened to a scene of Minhee attempting to soothe her extremely fussy six-month-old pup, presumably while waiting for his bottle to finish heating up. "Looks like we're both struggling tonight." Hana chuckled as she shifted the camera to show David's cheeks that were splotchy from his own tantrum before Hana had finally gotten him settled enough to nurse.

"I think Danny's either teething or going through a sleep regression or both." Minhee said

"Just throw in the possibility that he needs to take a huge shit and you'll have the holy trinity." Hana mused. "Anyway, I'm assuming you're calling because of the show?"

"Uh, hell yeah!" Minhee confirmed. "Dude, your mind is genius."

Hana laughed. "Why, thank you."

"And you portrayed me in such an awesome light." Minhee continued. "Like you love and cherish me."

"Have you considered that's because I do love and cherish you?" Hana pointed out.

As Minhee proceeded to perform one of her typical dramatic monologues--which seemed to work to soothe Danny as the six-month-old omega was now smiling up at his father--Jaehyun entered David's room. "Julie's finally asleep." He said before seemingly hearing Minhee's voice coming from Hana's phone speaker. "That Minnie?" He asked, walking around to stand behind the recliner they still had in David's room due to him still nursing to sleep most nights. "Hey, Minnie!" Jaehyun waved at the phone as Hana tilted it so Minhee could see him too. "You coming to Christmas this year?"

"I am!" Minhee smiled brightly. "Joseph was finally able to get enough time off for us to come down and stay for a while and let him formally meet everyone."

"We can't wait to meet him in person!" Hana exclaimed softly, still being conscientious of the toddler starting to doze off on her breast. "The FaceTime double dates are great but it's not quite the same."

"We'll definitely pawn the pups off on our parents and go out one night." Minhee stated.

Chapter 2: Julie's 7th Birthday

Chapter Text

Hana entered the house much earlier than she normally did on a Thursday and found David sitting at the kitchen table carefully drinking hot cocoa out of his favorite plastic dinosaur mug while Eloise washed the pot she'd made the cocoa in. All gentleness left the toddler alpha, however, the second he spotted Hana. "Eomma!" He dropped his mug and Eloise lunged from the sink to the table to catch it before the cocoa spilled everywhere while David wiggled out of his chair and ran over to Hana.

"I know you're excited to see me but you can't just drop your drink!" Hana gently scolded the two-year-old as she scooped him up into a tight hug, pressing a few kisses to his cheek. "You ready to go get your sister from school and take her to the zoo for her birthday?"

"See Appa?" David asked, his hands twisting in the collar of Hana's shirt out of habit.

Hana nodded. "Yeah, Appa said he pushed his lunch break back a bit so he can spend it with us." She glanced to Eloise who was already gathering up her stuff. "Thank you, once again, for everything you do, Eloise."

"Of course!" Eloise smiled. "Thank you for the early day!" She waved at David and blew him a kiss before leaving.

Hana carried David to the couch to change his diaper before heading out to pick Julie up from school. "We need to get you started on potty training soon." Hana murmured. "Eomma's tired of changing diapers." David just giggled away, lying still as Hana undressed his lower half and grabbed a wipe to clean him.

Once David had a clean diaper on and was redressed, Hana carried him out to the car and made sure he was buckled securely into his car seat--as the toddler had started up a habit of unbuckling himself while she was driving so she'd had to get creative to ensure he wasn't able to do that--then headed on to Julie's school to join the line of cars waiting for the students to be dismissed. As soon as Hana spotted the bright pink dress Julie had chosen to wear--the seven-year-old had claimed she needed to dress fancy for her birthday--a smile spread across the 32-year old's face and she rolled down her window to call out to Julie as the teacher on duty walked her up to the car. "Hey, birthday girl!"

Julie smiled brightly and waved at Hana as the teacher opened the back door for her. "Thank you!" She said to the teacher before climbing into the car. "Eomma, I was very careful and didn't get my dress dirty!" She exclaimed with pride.

"I see that!" Hana looked over her shoulder at Julie. "Have you had a good day?"

"Silas made me a bracelet!" Julie held her arm out to show Hana the homemade beaded bracelet now adorning her wrist. "Isn't it pretty!"

"It is very pretty!" Hana nodded, stifling a laugh as she imagined Jaehyun's reaction when he learned where the gift came from. "Buckle in so we can go." Julie quickly settled into her seat and buckled herself in so Hana could pull forward and stop holding up the line.

The drive to the zoo was filled with Julie babbling to David all about her day at school, and the two-year-old seemingly listening intently from the way he stared unblinkingly at his sister nearly the entire time. When they arrived at the zoo, Hana led the pups straight to the Zoo Grill, where she and Jaehyun had agreed to meet, and found the 33 year old alpha already sitting at one of the outdoor tables with a burger meal for himself, some Bear Fries that were clearly meant for the pups to share with him, and plain fries for Hana. "Appa!" Julie broke away from Hana to run to Jaehyun, climbing into her father's lap and hugging him tightly.

"Have you had a good birthday?" Jaehyun asked while hugging Julie back just as tightly, pressing a kiss to her forehead once she released him. Julie nodded and launched into the same spiel from the car ride while Hana leaned down to lightly press her lips to Jaehyun's for a few seconds and adjusted her hold on David so the toddler could hug his dad before settling into one of the other chairs at the table with the two-year-old in her lap so they could enjoy their snack.

When Jaehyun had to head back to work--the alpha explaining to Julie that one of their gorillas was pregnant and that he really needed to go and check on her and her unborn infant, since she was scheduled for an ultrasound that day, when the seven year old started to pout--Hana took Julie and David to see the elephants for a moment before heading on home. "We have to call Halabeoji and let him see the elephants!" Julie insisted, attempting to reach into Hana's pocket to pull her phone out herself.

"Okay, give me a second." Hana giggled and lightly swatted Julie's hands away so she could pull her phone out and video call her dad.

The video opened up to an angle of her dad situating the phone on the kitchen counter to show that he was currently cooking dinner. "Hi, Halabeoji!" Julie waved at the phone. "What are you making?"

"Chicken and rice." Hana's dad said. "Very simple since Thursdays are so busy."

Hailey appeared in the frame, clearly acting as her grandfather's helper in the kitchen that night. "Hi, Julie! Happy birthday!"

"Thank you!" Julie exclaimed. "I can't wait to have our sleepover this weekend!"

"Halabeoji built us a brand-new dollhouse!' Hailey informed her cousin. "I'll show you!" She grabbed their grandfather's phone and Hana laughed at the sound of her dad calling after the four-year-old in a panic as the four-year-old ran to her and her brother's room to show the dollhouse in question.

Chapter 3: Jia's 1st Birthday

Chapter Text

The Min home was full of laughter and joy and, most importantly, pups running around in princess and prince costumes for Jia's first birthday, which Eunji had asked to host there due to it having far more interior space than her own home had and it being much too cold to host outside like she did for Bo's birthday parties. And for the first time in years every single Min pup as well as all of their puphood friends were present in the same place at the same time thanks to Hana and Jaehyun still being in town for Julie's winter break, Sunwoo and Jaesung having the opportunity to come home for a few days after the new year while Jaesung had his pups with him, and Minhee and Joseph extending their stay due to a winter storm in New York.

Currently, Jia and Minhee's pup, Danny, were staring at each other curiously, much like they had every time they'd been in the same room together since Minhee first arrived back in Arkansas. "Is this your new friend, Jia?" Eunji asked the toddler as she sat next to the two pups. Jia babbled in response, reaching out toward Danny. The six-month-old omega babbled back, waving his arms slightly. Apparently their infant conversation took a turn because Jia then suddenly smacked Danny on the forehead. Eunji instantly scooped Jia up. "No, Jia, we do not hit."

"Never thought I'd hear you say that." Minhee said teasingly as she picked up Danny, who had started crying by that point.

"Excuse you, I never hit. I only gave love taps." Eunji stuck her tongue out at the alpha before carrying Jia off while Minhee comforted her pup. She found Sunwoo sitting on the couch avoiding direct social interaction and sat next to him. "Look, Jia, it's your favorite imo!"

"You've gotten so big!" Sunwoo gushed, reaching out to take Jia from Eunji. "Eomma was just passing around old puppy pictures and Jia looks exactly like you did at her age. Except normal sized.'

"I am normal sized." Eunji insisted. "Not my fault I was born into a family of giants."

Sunwoo raised an eyebrow at Eunji. "I'm four inches shorter than your fiancé."

"And he is also a giant who comes from a family of giants." Eunji stated.

"So by your logic, the 13.7% of omegas in the US who are your height or shorter are actually the normal ones and the rest of us are abnormal." Sunwoo deadpanned.

Eunji blinked. "Glad to see you've caught up."

Sunwoo shook his head and looked down at Jia. "Don't listen to your Eomma. She's just jealous that she can't reach the top shelf." Eunji started to smack Sunwoo in response but quickly stopped herself when she realized that probably wasn't the best move to make right after scolding her daughter for hitting. "So you still like being a parent."

"Yeah…" Eunji eyed Sunwoo. "That was a random question."

"Just wondering." Sunwoo shrugged before bouncing Jia on his knee in the horsey game their grandfather used to do with them.

Their dad appeared behind them, leaning over the couch. "Think you'll be ready for cake and presents any time soon?" He asked nonchalantly.

Eunji looked up at him in amusement. "Are you asking that because your social battery is depleted and you want to get people out of here faster?"

"I will neither confirm nor deny that." Their dad said, which was basically a confirmation in itself. "So cake and presents."

"Jia, you ready to have some cake?" Eunji asked, reaching out to take the 12-month-old from Sunwoo and standing up from the couch.

After removing Jia's princess dress to keep it from getting messy, Eunji placed the 12 month old in just her diaper in the highchair in her parents kitchen and everyone gathered around to sing happy birthday as Eunji's dad carried a mini strawberry cake--an exact replica of the bigger one he'd made for all of the guests to eat--over and placed it on the highchair tray in front of her. Eunji of course had her phone out and trained on Jia the second everyone started singing, not wanting to miss capturing the toddler's first taste of cake on video. Jia didn't even wait for the song to be over as she plunged her hand directly into the middle of the cake, grabbing a fistful of the dessert before bringing it back to her mouth. Eunji giggled as she ended the recording and lowered her phone only to feel arms resting on top of her head. "I am not your arm rest."

"Of course you are." Bai retorted. "Otherwise, why would you be the perfect height for me to rest my arms on top of you?" Eunji responded by elbowing Bai in the stomach, which had him dropping his arms from her head to instead wrap around her, tugging her back against him and dropping a kiss to the top of her head.

Eunji was content to stand there in Bai's arms, leaning back against him, for a moment. Then she elbowed him again. "Go get me cake."

"Why can't you get your own cake?" Bai asked.

"Because you currently have me trapped." Eunji pointed out. Bai leaned down to press a kiss to Eunji's cheek before releasing her and walking over to where their moms were working together to cut the cake and serve it up with ice cream.

Chapter 4: Month 386

Chapter Text

Yoongi had been sleeping peacefully until a couple of weights flopped on top of him, crushing his chest and making it hard to breathe. "Jimin!" Yoongi didn't dare open his eyes just yet, patting around blindly in the nest until he felt Jimin's warm body under his hand. "Baby, is it my time? Has the reaper come for me?"

"Unless the reaper looks like our grandpups, no." Jimin's voice responded flatly and Yoongi began to relax. "Also, you're only 61. It is nowhere near your time."

"What does 'your time' mean?" Jason asked as Yoongi finally squinted open his eyes to see him and Hailey sitting on top of him.

"Nothing, Halabeoji's just being silly." Jimin said and Yoongi glanced over to see him sitting up in the nest, sliding his glasses on. Yoongi also noticed his hand had apparently found Jimin's thigh during his search and gave the flesh a generous squeeze until Jimin smacked his hand away. "Did you come wake us up because of the snow?" Jimin asked, his excitement matched in the two pups who proceeded to start bouncing on Yoongi, causing the alpha to groan in pain.

Jason nodded excitedly. "It actually did it! The weatherman didn't lie!"

Jimin giggled. "Do you wanna go out and play?" Both pups nodded that time. "Okay, let's make sure we've pottied and get dressed super warm and we can all go including Halabeoji." Jimin looked pointedly at Yoongi as he moved to climb out of bed. Yoongi let out another groan as Hailey and Jason climbed off of him in order to follow Jimin, but once the three omegas were out of the room, he did get up and pad into the bathroom to go pee.

Soon enough, Yoongi found himself standing in the middle of the backyard being pelted by snowballs as Jimin laughed and egged Jason and Hailey on. Bailey ran around them, barking excitedly as she enjoyed the snow. "Get him, Bailey!" Hailey suddenly yelled.

"Please do not sic a dog on me." Yoongi begged, which thankfully they didn't. Unfortunately, Jason and Hailey decided the right alternative was to tackle him into the snow. Thankfully the snow was softer than just the ground would have been, but that still didn't change the ache in Yoongi's back as he landed with the two giggling pups on top of him.

"Alright, let's have some mercy on Halabeoji." Jimin said, picking the pups up one by one and placing them back in the snow. As they ran off to try to make a snowman, Jimin reached down to help Yoongi to his feet. "You okay?"

"No." Yoongi huffed. Jimin just giggled and pressed a kiss to his cheek.

Bo looked around the room blearily as Eunji set a plate with scrambled eggs and a smoothie pouch on the table in front of him, a confused pout on the two-year old's face. "Where my friends?" He asked, referring to Eunji's daycare pups.

"The snow and ice outside made it to where it's not safe to drive on the roads." Eunji explained. "So no friends today."

"Oh." Bo said, picking up his smoothie pouch. After sucking on the nozzle for a bit, he pulled his mouth off to look at Eunji again. "We can go play in the snow?"

"Of course we can." Eunji smiled. "After breakfast, we'll get dressed in warm clothes and go out and play."

"And Jia?" Bo asked.

Eunji nodded. "We can't play in the snow without Jia."

Bo sucked down more of his smoothie before asking. "Baba going to work?"

"No." Eunji shook her head. "It's not safe for Baba to drive to work either so he's staying home with us today."

As if summoned, Bai appeared from the hallway with Jia propped on his hip after getting her up and changing her diaper. "Baba staying home with us!" Bo cheered, knocking his chair to the floor in his haste to stand up and run to the 28-year-old alpha.

"I know!" Bai exclaimed, crouching down to pick Bo up, propping the toddler on his other hip. "I can't wait to spend the whole day with my two favorite people." He pressed a kiss to Bo's cheek, then Jia's, then looked at Eunji who was staring at him with a raised eyebrow. "What?"

"So I'm not one of your favorite people?" Eunji asked. Bai opened his mouth to respond but Eunji didn't let him. "No, I just pushed one of your giant pups out of my vagina and had the other one cut out of me, but It's fine that I'm not one of your favorite people." She turned to fix up a plate for Jia, ignoring Bai following her into the kitchen.

"You know you're my most favorite person of all." Bai said, leaning down to press a kiss to Eunji's cheek.

Eunji hummed as she scooped some eggs from the skillet onto a plate. "I'm telling your mom that he's not in your list of favorite people."

"Now, pups, this is Baba walking away." Bai said to Jia and Bo as he turned to carry them back out of the kitchen. "Because I know when I can't win. Which is always when it comes to your Eomma." Eunji smiled to herself as she moved to the fridge to get a smoothie pouch for Jia.

Hana was scooping oatmeal into a bowl for Julie when she felt her phone buzzing in her pocket multiple times in a row. She pulled it out to see that both her mom and Eunji were spamming the family group chat with pictures of her niblings playing in the snow, and Sunwoo was begging them to stop because he was trying to sleep. "Your cousins got a snow day today, Julie." Hana said as she carried Julie's breakfast over to the table, turning her phone so the seven-year-old could see the pictures.

Julie smiled as Hana swiped through all the pictures of her cousins. Then she frowned. "Eomma, why doesn't it ever snow here?"

"Because Los Angeles has a much different climate than Central Arkansas." Hana said, sliding her phone into her pocket.

"I want to play in snow." Julie slumped back in her chair with a pout.

"Maybe one day we'll get lucky and an early snow will come while we're there during winter break." Hana said as Jaehyun carried David into the room, the two-year-old still yawning and rubbing his eyes. "Now eat up so your brain has energy for school." She leaned down to press a kiss to the top of Julie's head before going to fix a bowl of oatmeal for David.

Chapter 5: Month 387

Chapter Text

In the sunroom of the Min house, Jason, Hailey, Bo, and Jia were having a cousin playdate. The two older pups had decided to run a 'restaurant' with their father and uncle acting as their customers, Bo was the waiter who took their orders and brought the fake food to them, and Jia was having a blast just crawling around and pulling herself up to stand against various furniture while babbling at her cousins and older brother, who all attempted to try to understand what she was saying and include her as much as they could. Meanwhile, Eunji was sitting on the couch with Charlie, getting the chance to snuggle with the youngest member of the Min family. "You are very vocal, Logan." Eunji cooed as the two-month-old explored his voice. He wasn't babbling or cooing or crying. The closest description of the sounds he was making would be a scream, but it was clear he wasn't trying to communicate something.

"Oh yes he is." Charlie nodded. "Especially at night when we should be sleeping." She reached out to tickle the bottom of Logan's foot.

"You have the potential to yell really well." Eunji said, adjusting Logan slightly in her lap. "Are you gonna be a cheerleader for Conway one day?" She gently took his arms and began going through the motions of some old cheers from high school with him. "V-I-C-T-O-R-Y! It's the Conway battle cry!"

"I think it's a bit too early for him to decide those kinds of things." Charlie chuckled.

Eunji's parents entered the room at that moment, her dad's arms laden with cups of what looked like a smoothie while her mom carried a bowl of what looked like seasoned roasted chickpeas. "Snack time!" Her dad declared, setting the cups on the coffee table.

"Thank you!" The older pups chorused, quickly abandoning their game in order to take a snack break.

Jia looked almost lost as she watched Hailey leave the toy kitchen, her tiny hands clutching onto the wood to keep herself steady. She let out a sound similar to a squawk. "Come drink this smoothie, Jia!" Hailey called back to her.

Jia glanced between the toy kitchen and her cousin a couple of times before letting go of the kitchen. She took a few wobbly steps before falling to her knees and crawling the rest of the way. "Oh no, I didn't get her first steps on video!" Eunji exclaimed with a pout.

"You can't always catch every moment." Her dad said. "Sometimes you don't even get to see them. Hana had hers at daycare and her teachers told me."

Eunji's mom's gaze shot to him. "No, her first steps were a few days before Christmas when we were having dinner after your brother and his family got into town." Her dad froze and her mom's eyes widened. "You're telling me that was a lie?! I didn't see my first puppy's first steps?!"

Her dad sighed deeply. "31 years I managed to keep that secret."

Hajoon was pulling up the Conway Public Schools registration portal on his laptop while Charlie nursed Logan next to him when their bedroom door suddenly swung open. He looked up to see Hailey entering their room with her favorite sloth stuffy tucked under her arm. "You're supposed to be in bed." Hajoon said, as it hadn't been that long since he'd finished her and Jason's bedtime routine and left them to sleep in their room.

"I wanna sleep with Mommy and Appa." Hailey said as she closed the door behind her. She ran over to their bed and pulled herself onto it, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion at the pile of papers resting on the bed next to Hajoon. "What is that?" She asked.

"It's important documents." Hajoon said as Hailey snuggled into the space between him and Charlie. "Like your birth certificate, medical records, things like that."

"Why do you have them?" Hailey asked.

"So I can take a picture with my phone and upload it to this website here to get your registered for kindergarten." Hajoon explained.

Hailey frowned a bit. "Kindergarten."

"Yeah, kindergarten." Charlie was the one to answer as Logan unlatched from her breast. "You know in August when you start going to school with Jason." She propped Logan against her shoulder to burp him.

Hailey's frown deepened. "But I wanna stay home with Halabeoji."

"I know but it's important that you go to school." Hajoon said.

"But he'll be so lonely without me!" Hailey argued.

Hajoon struggled to hold back a laugh at that. "He'll have Logan."

Hailey scrunched her nose. "All Logan does is poop and sleep. He doesn't play with Halabeoji at all."

By that point, Charlie was nearly laughing out loud, her face bright red. "Logan's still growing." Hajoon reminded her. "He'll be doing more than just pooping and sleeping by the time you start school." Hailey huffed and hugged her stuffy to her chest but didn't say anything as Hajoon resumed filling out the registration form. By the time he was finished, the four-year-old had fallen asleep.

***

Eunji propped Jia on her hip as she finished counting off the pups lined up waiting to go back inside. "Okay let's go in and wash our hands for lunch!"

As the pups entered the house in a line and went straight to the bathroom to wash their hands at the sink, Eunji couldn't help but notice Bo's pants were sagging. And not just a bit. His entire airplane underwear clad bottom was on display, his pants barely hanging on at all. "Kkoma, what's up with your pants?" Eunji asked, setting Jia down so she could pull Bo's pants up for him. But as she did, they did feel a bit heavier. When she took a closer look, she noticed his pockets were bulging a bit so she reached into one and pulled out a handful of rocks. "Whatcha got here?" She asked, continuing to pull rocks out until his pockets were empty and she had dozens of rocks of different shapes, sizes, and colors resting on the bathroom counter.

Bo smiled up at her with pride. "It's my cowection."

"It's your collection." Eunji asked and Bo nodded. "Okay, I guess I'll put them in a safe place." She kept the rocks in her own jacket pocket until after she'd gotten all of the pups’ hands washed, as well as her own, and served them all lunch. Then she found a small box to put them in.

Chapter 6: Bo's 3rd Birthday

Chapter Text

Eunji was nestled in Bai's arms, her head on his chest, her body in that space between sleep and wakefulness, when she felt the mattress dipping. She lifted her head, blinking sleepily as she found Bo pulling himself onto the bed with them. "Good morning, kkoma." Eunji murmured, holding her arm out to welcome her pup. Bo smiled brightly and crawled in between Eunji and Bai's bodies, wiggling to get comfortable and kicking Bai awake in the process. "Happy birthday, my little puppy." Eunji peppered Bo's face in kisses until the now three-year-old was giggling.

Bo nuzzled happily against Eunji, his feet still kicking against Bai and earning quiet groans from the 28-year-old alpha. "When Halabeoji and Halmeoni coming?"

"I think when Jia goes down for her morning nap." Eunji said. "They're going to come help decorate for your party."

An excited giggle escaped the three-year-old. "And nǎinai and yéye?"

Eunji reached out to pinch Bai's nipple to make sure he hadn't fallen back asleep. "Ow!" Bai looked at her in bewilderment while rubbing his nipple.

"What time are your parents gonna be here?" Eunji asked.

"I don't know." Bai rubbed his eyes. "Between 10:30 and 11:00. They said they were going to help prepare the food."

"So a little after Halmeoni and Halabeoji get here." Eunji informed Bo, pressing a kiss to the three-year old's forehead. Then she turned her attention back to Bai. "Speaking of food, you need to go to the store to make sure we have plenty of hot dogs and fixins'."

"Why do I have to go?" Bai asked.

"Because whenever I go to the store, you always complain that I come back with 20 things that weren't on the list." Eunji said.

"You do always come back with 20 things that aren't on the list." Bai deadpanned.

Eunji shrugged. "I run a daycare. Sometimes I see things the pups will like and have to get it."

"And that's why you have the best daycare in Morrilton." Bai said, leaning over to press his lips to Eunji's, much to Bo's amusement as the three-year-old giggled.

Eunji pulled out of the kiss at a moment and started trying to push Bai out of the bed. "Go."

"Why do I have to go now?" Bai asked.

"Because if you don't then you'll get stuck in the post pack meeting rush of people getting last minute stuff for their Sunday lunches." Eunji pointed out.

Bai sighed dramatically. "I'll go as soon as Jia wakes up and I've gotten my morning cuddles with her."

As if on cue, they heard Jia screaming for Bai at the top of her lungs. "Bababababababa!"

"I'm coming xiǎo gōng zhǔ!" Bai called out as he climbed out of bed.

Eunji continued to cuddle and scent Bo, holding the three-year-old close, until Bai returned to their room with Jia propped on his hip. "Let's get in on these family snuggles, xiǎo gōng zhǔ." Bai pressed a kiss to the 14-month old's cheek before climbing back into bed with her.

Jia was content to cuddle with Bai for a moment before pushing away from him to instead tug at Eunji's shirt, making it clear she was ready to nurse. "Walmart time." Eunji said as she unbuttoned her pajama shirt until her breast was free for Jia to latch onto.

"Fine." Bai groaned dramatically as he climbed back out of bed and grabbed a discarded hoodie to tug over his head.

"I wanna go!" Bo exclaimed, pushing himself to his feet and bouncing to the end of the bed where he proceeded to jump off for his dad to catch him. "Let's go, Baba!"

"No special treats just yet since we're having plenty of them at the party." Eunji said and Bai sent her a thumbs up as he carried Bo out of the room.

A few hours later, Eunji and her mom were setting up the Hot Diggity Dog Bar they were doing to provide lunch for the party guests while her dad and brother kept the older pups entertained and Bai and his parents grilled the hot dogs. "He's growing so fast." Her mom mused as he glanced over his shoulder to watch the three-year-old playing with the t-ball set they'd gotten him for Christmas and that he'd been obsessed with since. "Isn't that t-ball league you signed him up for starting soon?"

Eunji nodded. "The season starts in two weeks. We're supposed to get our team placements and schedules this week."

"He's gonna have so much fun doing that." Her mom said.

"His favorite part is gonna be all of us there watching him and cheering for him." Eunji said.

"Huh, wonder where he got that from." Her mom teasingly bumped his hip against hers before walking over to the grill to get the plate of finished hot dogs to add to the bar.

Chapter 7: Month 388

Chapter Text

"No sleeping in Appa and Mama's room tonight." Hajoon said as he tucked Hailey and Jason into bed. "You two are gonna stay in here all night."

"But Logan gets to sleep in your room!" Hailey pouted.

"Logan's a tiny puppy." Jason reminded his younger sister.

Hailey crossed her arms and pouted. "It's still not fair."

"Well Logan is sleeping in his own room tonight too." Hajoon informed them.

"Are you and Mommy having a sleepover without us?" Hailey asked with an accusatory tone.

"Yes." Hajoon didn't even deny it, making Hailey's pout deepen. "Because sometimes Appas and Mamas need alone time so that we don't get stressed out."

Hailey flopped back against her pillow with a dramatic sigh as if she were already a teenager. "What if I get scared? What if there are monsters?"

Now Hailey had never been one to be scared of monsters in her closet or under her bed so Hajoon knew she was just playing it up because she'd gotten into the habit of 'sleepovers' in his and Charlie's room. "If monsters come, you can go sleep in Halabeoji and Halmeoni's room." He assured her. "They love sleepovers." He pressed a kiss to her forehead and tucked her blanket around her, then crossed over to Jason's bed to kiss his forehead. "Goodnight. I love you."

"Love you too, Appa." Jason said while Hailey was pouting too much to respond.

Hajoon turned their light off on his way out, then hurried down the hall to his and Charlie's room where Charlie was waiting for him on their bed in a robe. "Logan's asleep?" He asked.

Charlie nodded. "And even though he's been sleeping really well, being in his own room might change that so let's not waste time."

Hajoon began stripping out of his clothes only to be rendered speechless and frozen as Charlie removed her robe to reveal a light pink babydoll and matching g string. "Oh fuck." Hajoon said, feeling like he'd been shot in the heart by Charlie's beauty.

"You should already be naked by now." Charlie said.

"I need a minute." Hajoon said, clutching his chest dramatically. "You're so fucking beautiful, I don't even know what to do with myself."

"Well, I know exactly what you should be doing with yourself." Charlie snapped her fingers at Hajoon to get him to hurry up. "Come on, let's go." Hajoon removed the rest of his clothes and climbed onto the bed with Charlie, crashing their lips together as he guided her to lay down against the pillows.

Hajoon took Charlie's bottom lip between his teeth and gave it a tiny tug before trailing kisses along her jaw and down her neck. He spent some time at her scent gland, sucking a light mark just above her mating scar, before making his way down her body. He pushed her babydoll up to worship her stomach, giving the c section scar extra love and attention before moving down to her inner thighs. He left a constellation of bruises over them before tugging the fabric of her g string aside to bring his mouth to her, instantly finding her clit. Charlie started to moan but abruptly cut it off, clearly making sure not to let anyone else in the house aware of their current activities. Her muffled moans grew in frequency as Hajoon continued to work his mouth over her, her hips bucking against him especially as he brought his hand up to press two fingers inside her.

Hajoon could already feel his knot beginning to swell just from how aroused he was from bringing pleasure to his mate, so the second he felt Charlie clenching around his fingers from her impending orgasm, he wasted no time removing them and crawling up her body to crash their lips together once more while pressing his dick inside her. He set a relentless pace from the beginning, swallowing Charlie's moans while letting her swallow his grunts and groans. It didn't take very long for Charlie's orgasm to hit her, the omega clenching hard around Hajoon's knot and triggering his own release deep inside her.

Breathing heavily, Hajoon buried his face in the crook of Charlie's neck, scenting her deeply as Charlie held him tightly. "Think we'd have time for another round?" Charlie asked between pants.

"Depends on how long it takes for my knot to go down." Hajoon said, pulling his face out of her neck to softly press his lips to hers.

***

Jimin and Yoongi were lying in bed with their respective nightly drinks. Jimin was reading the newest erotic romance from his favorite author with Leo curled up in his lap while Yoongi had his notebook in hand and was outlining the new story idea he'd apparently had while taking his nightly poop. "Did you make arrangements to be able to go to Bo's game on Monday?" Yoongi suddenly asked.

"Of course I did." Jimin replied. "I'm not missing my grandpup's first t-ball game." He took a sip of his wine. "Hajoon is still going to his weekly basketball game, though, so we should offer to take at least Hailey and Jason to Morrilton with us to give Charlie a break if she's not feeling up to a long night. Logan too, if she's willing." Yoongi hummed in agreement. "What's this great plot anyway?" Jimin then asked in reference to what Yoongi was outlining. Yoongi opened his mouth to answer but couldn't as their bedroom door suddenly swung open, startling Leo enough that he launched himself off of Jimin's lap and halfway across their room before darting into the bathroom. They both looked over to see Hailey strutting into the room like she owned the place. "What's up, little dumpling?" Jimin asked.

"Appa says I can't sleep with him and Mommy tonight." Hailey said as she proceeded to climb onto Yoongi and Jimin's bed. "So I'm having a sleepover with you."

"Oh, you are, are you?" Jimin asked with an amused tone as the four-year-old made herself comfortable between her grandparents.

"Halabeoji, can we have waffles for breakfast in the morning?" Hailey asked.

"If you agree to be my special helper." Yoongi replied.

Hailey just smiled and snuggled into Jimin's side. She was quiet for so long that Jimin believed she'd fallen asleep until she suddenly asked, "Halmeoni, what's a pussy?"

Jimin slammed his book shut as Yoongi burst into laughter. "It's a silly word for cat." Jimin said quickly while setting his book aside, shifting to cuddle Hailey properly in the hopes that she'd fall asleep sooner and he could get back to his book.

Chapter 8: Month 389

Chapter Text

Logan was going through a sleep regression so Charlie had opted to keep him home to stick to his bedtime routine rather than taking Jimin and Yoongi up on their offer to take all of the pups with them to Bo's T-Ball game and give her a break while Hajoon was playing basketball with his friends. As a result, Yoongi and Jimin only had Hailey and Jason in the car with them as they turned off the Old Morrilton Highway into Morrilton. "Alright, we are here!" Yoongi exclaimed only to frown a bit at the sheer number of cars already filling the lots around the Morrilton Parks & Recreation area where the T-Ball games--and other community youth sports--took place. "And apparently T-Ball is very popular in Morrilton."

"Maybe we should leave closer to 5:00 next week." Jimin suggested, craning his head to see if he could find an open spot to aid in Yoongi's search.

Eventually, Yoongi had to settle for parallel parking between two other cars along the fence because there just weren't any open spots, at least not ones that weren't next to someone who didn't know how to park properly between the lines. After getting Jason, Hailey, and their camping chairs out of the car and finding the entrance to the park, they approached the small table that Eunji had told them would be there for them to pay the entry fee. "Three dollars per adult." One of the teenagers seated at the table informed them.

"What about for us?" Hailey asked as Yoongi dug into his pocket for his wallet.

"You guys get to come in for free." The teenager said with a smile. "And you get this really cool stamp!"

Hailey and Jason both held their hands out excitedly to receive their stamps. "It's purple!" Jason cheered.

"Next time you should have a pink stamp." Hailey said.

"I'll keep that in mind." The teenager giggled.

While the pups were having that exchange, Yoongi smirked at Jimin while handing six dollars over. "Told you they would take cash."

"There is nothing wrong with me assuming that in the year 2055 a place might not accept cash." Jimin retorted.

They made their way into the park, veering off towards where they could see the concessions stand line rather than continuing on to the field Eunji had told them Bo was set to play at. "We're gonna miss Bo's game!" Jason exclaimed.

"No, we won't." Yoongi assured him. "We've still got plenty of time to get some dinner before his game starts." He adjusted the straps of their camping chairs on his shoulders. All four chairs because he had refused to let Jimin carry even one of them when he'd first unloaded them from the trunk of his Palisade.

Jimin held his hand out to Yoongi. "I can carry one of them."

"I got it." Yoongi insisted.

"You're gonna throw your back out again." Jimin said.

"No, I won't." Yoongi said.

Jimin rolled his eyes and shook his head. "You're such a stereotypical alpha sometimes."

Jason looked up at Jimin. "What does stereotypical mean?" He asked curiously.

"When someone says everyone in a certain group is a certain way, that's a stereotype." Jimin explained. "Like how everyone believes alphas are stubborn and refuse to let omegas help out, particularly when it comes to stuff that requires a lot of strength."

"But omegas are stronger." Hailey said.

"And I don't disagree." Yoongi said.

"Yet you won't let me carry one single chair." Jimin pointed out.

"Because I want to carry all four of them." Yoongi argued. "This is my weight training for the week."

Jimin rolled his eyes playfully as they stepped up to the concessions window and picked Hailey up so she could see the menu better. "They have nachos and hamburgers and hot dogs-"

"Do the hot dogs have the black stuff on them?" Hailey asked, referring to grill marks.

"Nope, you can see them cooking right there." Jimin pointed to where the hot dogs were currently rotating.

Hailey nodded and looked at the teenager working the concessions. "Can I have a hot dog with ketchup and only ketchup?"

"Of course you can!"

Once they had all ordered and received their food--Yoongi also insisting on carrying as much of their food and soda cans as he could--they finally made it to where Bai and Eunji were sitting on the sidelines with Jia and Bai's parents. "You finally made it!" Eunji exclaimed, jumping up from her chair to help them set their chairs up.

"We would have been able to move faster if your dad wasn't currently suffering from a bout of dumbalphatitis." Jimin said.

Shortly after they settled in and started eating their food, the game officially started. Rather than watching the pups going up to bat, Jimin was focused on Bo wiggling and fidgeting on the bench as he waited for his turn, the team shirt he was wearing a little too big for him and making him look smaller than he already was. Giggling to himself, he pulled his phone out to take pictures and videos of Bo on the bench.

Out of nowhere, Jason asked, "How come we only have one grandparents?"

"What do you mean?" Yoongi asked.

"Bo and Jia have two grandparents." Jason said. "And Julie and David have to grandparents. But Hailey, Logan, and me only have you." Jason looked between the two curiously.

Yoongi and Jimin shared a look, not knowing quite how to respond as they weren't sure what Charlie's preference for approaching that subject was. But they were saved from having to come up with a response by a familiar three-year-old tripping over his feet in his excitement to get up to the tee. "Look, it's Bo's turn to bat!" Thankfully the distraction worked as Jason whipped his head around to watch his younger cousin, cheering loudly for him along with Hailey. Bo's first swing missed wildly but his second swing he hit the ball directly, sending it flying halfway across the field as he ran as fast as his little legs could take him to first base.

***

Jimin was absolutely exhausted by the time he finally pulled into the driveway after returning to the studio from their regional competition in Farmington, Missouri and after making sure all of the dancers got picked up and after finishing up post traveling paperwork. Some of his energy returned as he entered the house and was immediately greeted by not only Hailey but also Julie and David as Hana and Jaehyun had flown in for a visit for Julie's spring break, but there was also a tightness in his chest as he hugged and scented three of his seven grandpups.

"Halmeoni, Appa said we can make a playdoh donut shop when Logan's done eating!" Hailey cheered.

"That sounds like so much fun!" Jimin smiled.

"Will you be our first customer?" Julie then asked.

"Halmeoni needs to go unpack and rest for just a minute." Jimin said. "But after that I will be more than happy to come buy some playdoh donuts from you." He hugged them all tightly once more before letting them go. They all ran off to continue their playing while he carried his suitcase to his and Yoongi's room.

Yoongi joined him as he was unpacking his suitcase, the alpha immediately hugging him from behind while burying his face in his neck. "I missed you." Yoongi mumbled, pressing a kiss directly to Jimin's scent gland.

"Missed you too." Jimin murmured, tilting his head to allow Yoongi more room to scent him.

Yoongi paused, pulling back slightly and Jimin could feel the concern in his gaze even though he wasn't looking at him. "Everything okay?"

"Yeah, this trip just took a little more out of me than normal." Jimin said, stepping out of Yoongi's hold so he could go put his toiletries back in their designated spaces in the bathroom. But as he did that, Jimin knew it wasn't just that the trip took a little more out of him. When he came back out of the bathroom, instead of continuing to unpack, he sat on the edge of their bed with a sigh. "I think I'm done with all this." He gestured to the half-unpacked suitcase.

Yoongi raised his eyebrows the tiniest bit and sat down next to Jimin. "You're done as in…you want to retire?"

"Not completely." Jimin said. "I'm not ready to give up teaching or choreographing or any of that. But…I don't know. I think knowing Julie and David were here and I was missing out on bonding time that we don’t get very often because I had to be out of the state for a competition…it just had me really thinking about how much I'm missing out on between the traveling and how late I have to stay at the studio just to do paperwork and organizing all these trips." He paused for a moment before asking, "How would you feel if after this season, I stepped back from the competition team and went back to just teaching classes at the studio?"

"I just want you to be happy and not stressed." Yoongi said. "If being in charge of the competition team is no longer bringing you happiness then of course I would support you stepping back." He took Jimin's hand in his and squeezed it. "I'll always support you in anything."

Jimin smiled softly at Yoongi. "How did I get so lucky to have you as my mate?"

"I'm the lucky one in this relationship." Yoongi said, leaning in to gently press his lips to Jimin's for a few seconds. "Now you lay back and decompress from all that driving. I'll finish unpacking for you."

"Will you rub my feet when you're done?" Jimin asked, already getting comfortable in his nest.

"I'll rub other parts of you too if you want." Yoongi said, wiggling his eyebrows at Jimin until the omega threw a pillow at him.

Chapter 9: Month 390

Chapter Text

After changing Logan, as the six month old omega decided to have a poop explosion mere seconds after Hajoon got him out of his crib, Hajoon quickly strapped him into his carrier against his chest before rejoining his dad, Jason, and Hailey in the kitchen where the three of them now had an array of ingredients lined up on the counter in front of them. "Alright." His dad clapped his hands together before going through all the ingredients for the pups' sakes. "We've got flour, eggs, salt, baking powder, vanilla extract, strawberry jam, sugar, brown sugar, milk, butter, fresh strawberries--super fresh since we just got them from the farmer's market yesterday--and our mini waffle iron." He looked at Jason and Hailey with a serious expression. "Are you two ready to make the best strawberry waffles ever for your mama and Halmeoni?" Hailey and Jason cheered. "Then let's get started!" Hajoon's dad exclaimed.

While Jason and Hailey mixed the batter with the help of their grandfather, Hajoon chopped up the strawberries, offering tiny pieces to Logan to try as he was finally to the point of being able to eat solids. Once he was done with that, as the pups and their grandfather added the strawberry bits into the batter then began cooking the waffles, Hajoon moved to preparing Charlie and his mom's morning coffee the way he knew they each liked it. When the waffles were done, they divided them between two plates and topped them with more strawberry slices and powdered sugar. Then they set up two separate trays with the plates of waffles, coffees, and other waffle toppings before carrying them out of the kitchen and to the hallway of bedrooms.

"We should go to Halmeoni first!" Jason decided. "Because he was a mommy first."

"Sounds good to me." Hajoon's dad said, leading the way to his bedroom.

They quietly entered the room where Hajoon's mom was still sleeping soundly in his nest. Hajoon's dad nodded for Jason and Hailey to climb on the bed and wake him up and the two wasted no time in doing so, shaking him until he was blinking sleepily at them. "Good morning, little dumplings." Hajoon's mom mumbled, rubbing his eyes before reaching out to grab his glasses from the bedside table.

"Happy mother's day!" Jason and Hailey chorused out.

The second his glasses were on, Hajoon's mom's gaze zeroed in on the tray his mate was holding out to him. "Did you guys make me breakfast?"

"Of course we did." Hajoon said, waiting until his mom was sitting up to lean down and press a kiss to his cheek while his dad set the breakfast tray in his lap.

"I'm the luckiest eomma and halmeoni in the entire world!" Hajoon's mom gushed, hugging Jason and Hailey tightly.

The two pups giggled before wiggling out of his hold. "We gotta give Mama her breakfast now!" Jason exclaimed as he and Hailey climbed off the bed and ran out of the room. Chuckling, Hajoon followed after them with Charlie's tray while his dad stayed behind, presumably to feed his mom his breakfast.

Charlie was already awake when they entered the room, scrolling through her phone like she always did to help the transition from sleep to being awake. "Happy mother's day, Mommy!" Hailey exclaimed, running to join her mother in the bed and give her a big hug.

"Thank you, little dumpling." Charlie pressed a few kisses to her forehead until Jason joined them, at which point she directed her kisses at him. Hajoon set the breakfast tray on the bed with her then unstrapped Logan from his chest so the two of them could join the family snuggle session.

***

"Here's the predicament, Jia." Eunji said as the two of them were cuddling in the cozy room while Eunji had a Disney Princess marathon playing on the TV. "Your baba said he'd forgotten part of your nǎinai's present when we went to his house for hot pot night and that's why he took Bo with him to go drop it off." Jia babbled back at Eunji as if she were trying to actively participate in the conversation. "But the thing is, he didn't have anything with him when they left. Meaning he didn't have anything to take to your nǎinai. So the logical conclusion is that he is cheating on me."

As soon as she said that, she heard the front door open followed by Bai calling out, "We're home!"

"We're home!" Bo parroted.

"How's your lover?" Eunji asked as Bai stepped into the room, immediately earning a bewildered expression from the alpha. But Eunji's attention was quickly drawn to Bo darting around his dad to run to her while holding out a bag from Wingstop. "You got me Wingstop?" She gasped, reaching out to both take the bag and pull Bo into a hug.

"It's your favorite!" Bo exclaimed before snuggling into Eunji's arms, pressing his nose to her scent gland.

"What is this about me having a lover?" Bai finally asked.

Eunji shrugged as she began unpacking her food. "You claimed you had to take something to your mom yet you had nothing in your hand when you left. It's completely rational for me to assume you're having an affair when that happens."

Bai stared at her for a moment. "And you think I would take Bo with me to meet up with my hypothetical affair partner?"

"People do that." Eunji pointed out.

"Well, I would never do that." Bai assured her.

"So you'll only cheat when you don't have one of the pups with you." Eunji said.

Rather than the exasperated expression Bai had whenever Eunji was being her dramatic self, the alpha's face held only sincerity as he reached out to gently cup her cheek. "I would never cheat on you." He said before leaning in to softly press his lips to hers.

***

Hana looked up from her laptop as she heard the front door opening, Milo jumping up from his spot curled up next to her in order to run to the door to greet Jaehyun, Julie, and David as they entered the house. "Did you enjoy your walk?"

"We did!" Jaehyun smiled. "Did you enjoy your Eomma time?"

"I always do." Hana said. "And like always, I'm ready for some puppy snuggles." She set her laptop aside and opened her arms to welcome Julie and David as they finished removing their shoes by the door.

Julie was the first to reach her, of course, with David stumbling after her, both of them holding flowers out to her. "I hope you like these ones, Eomma! David picked them himself."

"He did a good job!" Hana said as she gently took the flowers from them. "They'll make perfect additions to my Mother's Day book." The book in question was the book she'd gotten after her first mother's day where she could dry and press the flowers Jaehyun and the pups always brought to her at the end of their day out so she could keep and remember them forever.

Jaehyun had a soft smile on his face as he walked over to the couch. "I know you said puppy snuggles but can I join in?"

"Like you even need to ask." Hana let out a laugh, setting her new flowers to the side and shifting on the couch to make sure there was room for all four of them to snuggle.

***

Even though it was technically Jaesung's week with the boys, since it was Mother's Day, they'd agreed that Amelia would keep the pups a few days longer in order to spend the holiday with them and Jaesung would get them from school on Monday afternoon rather than the Friday before like normal. So when Jaesung arrived at the studio Sunwoo had rented for the afternoon to work on his solo for the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders auditions the next month to pick him up, the 26-year-old omega was surprised to see Liam and Ian with him. "You're the bestest dancer I've ever seen!" Ian gushed as he and Liam ran up to hug Sunwoo after he finished that run through. "I want to be as good as you!"

Sunwoo felt his cheeks flush as he hugged the boys. "Well, it took me a long time to get to this point. You'll get there one day too." He looked up from them to smile at Jaesung. "I thought you weren't getting them until tomorrow."

Jaesung gave a tiny shrug. "Amelia said she was getting overstimulated and asked if I would come get them early."

"We brought something for you!" Liam exclaimed, letting go of Sunwoo to run back to his dad. He took his backpack from Jaesung and unzipped it, pulling out a giant handmade card to give to Sunwoo.

"Happy Mother's Day!" Ian exclaimed, beaming from where he was still hugging Sunwoo's leg.

"But I'm not…" Sunwoo trailed off, the shock in his system making way for warmth as he opened the card and read in the pups' handwriting how thankful they were to have the best stepmommy in the world. "Thank you!" Sunwoo said, pulling Liam back into the group hug.

Chapter 10: Hailey's 5th Birthday

Chapter Text

"Halabeoji, what are you doing?" Hailey asked in an accusatory tone, her hands on her hips as she glared at Yoongi.

"I'm grilling hot dogs for your birthday party." Yoongi said. "What does it look like I'm doing?"

"But there's gonna be black stuff on them!" Hailey whined.

Yoongi exhaled tiredly. "These are for the people who don’t mind grill marks. Halmeoni and I set aside hot dogs just for you that won't have any grill marks."

Hailey narrowed her eyes at him as if she didn't quite believe him. "There won't be any black stuff on them?"

"Nope." Yoongi shook his head. "Now go swim. I didn't spend all morning filling that pool up for nothing."

"Appa filled the pool up not you." Hailey said matter of factly before turning and running off.

Jimin giggled as he came up to Yoongi with a plate of the hamburger patties he'd just finished forming for them to be grilled as well. "I think she might be the first Min pup to not be susceptible to your bullshit powers."

"It's because she takes after you." Yoongi said, leaning over to steal a kiss from Jimin before turning his attention back to the grill.

As Yoongi made headway with the food, Eunji arrived with her family, immediately earning squeals of excitement as Jason and Hailey ran across the backyard to hug her. "Two of my favorite nieces!" Eunji gushed as she hugged them tightly.

"Eomma, can I go swim?" Bo asked, pointing excitedly to the pool.

Eunji nodded. "Just make sure an adult can always see you." Bo ran off towards the pool, Bai following behind with Jia propped on his hip. Eunji turned back to Hailey and cupped her face. "Are you having the best birthday ever?" Hailey nodded fervently. "Good! I have something very important to ask you and your brother."

"What is it?" Jason asked.

"Remember a few years ago when you were supposed to be a flower omega for my mating ceremony when I was supposed to mate Riley?" Jason nodded. "Well, how would you and Hailey like to be my flower omegas this time?"

Jason tilted his head curiously. "Are you actually gonna get mated this time?"

"Yes." Eunji said.

"But how are you sure?" Jason asked.

"Because the reason I didn't mate Riley was because I found out she was kissing an omega that wasn't me and that's not okay." Eunji explained. "But I'm the only omega that Bai kisses."

"And Jia." Hailey said, pointing to where Bai was currently peppering the giggling toddlers face in kisses.

Eunji gave a tiny nod. "And Jia but that's different." She clasped her hands together. "So do you two want to be my flower omegas?"

"Why didn't you ask me last time?" Hailey asked with a pout.

"Because you weren't even a year old yet." Eunji said. "Now, I ask again, do you two want to be my flower omegas?"

Both pups nodded, then Hailey grabbed her aunt's hand. "Come swim with us!"

Chapter 11: Hajoon's 30th Birthday

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Hajoon couldn't remember the last time he'd gotten to wake up on his own rather than because of an infant crying, a pup running into the room and jumping on the bed, or an alarm blaring. But on his 30th birthday, that was exactly what happened, the alpha's mind and body slowly coming to consciousness as a minimal amount of sun started to light up the room through the blinds and curtains over the windows. He felt Charlie stirring next to him and shifted to wrap his arm firmly around her waist, tugging her close. "Good morning." He mumbled, brushing his lips against her forehead.

"Happy birthday." Charlie whispered, tilting her head so their lips met in a soft lazy kiss.

Hajoon hummed into the kiss, pulling Charlie even closer as he broke the kiss. "Logan's sleeping in this morning."

"Must be his birthday present to you." Charlie said. "I have a birthday present of my own to give you."

"Am I gonna like this gift?" Hajoon asked.

Charlie snorted in laughter. "Do you even have to ask that?" Any retort Hajoon had died on his tongue as Charlie's hand ran over his lower stomach just above the waistband of his pajama pants before slipping inside.

A soft sigh of pleasure escaped Hajoon as Charlie began slowly stroking him, her lips attaching to his scent gland. It didn't take Hajoon long to grow to full hardness under Charlie's touch, the alpha bucking against her hand for more friction. Charlie trailed kisses down Hajoon's neck, shifting down his body and tugging his pajama pants and underwear down to expose his dick so she could take it into her mouth. A moan slipped out of Hajoon but he quickly bit his lip to silence it, not wanting to wake Logan up or gain the attention of anyone else in the house and risk his birthday present coming to an early end. He reached down to tangle his fingers in Charlie's hair, applying the tiniest amount of pressure, just enough to silently tell her how good she was making him feel and to keep going. As he felt his orgasm approaching, Hajoon struggled to keep his hips still, not wanting to choke Charlie as she sped up her movements, bobbing her head along his length. He tightened his grip on her hair the tiniest bit in warning, and Charlie gave a couple more bobs of her head before taking him all the way into her mouth just in time to catch every drop of his cum as he finished on her tongue.

When Charlie pulled off of him, she was breathing heavily, licking her lips to make sure nothing had dribbled out. "So did you like it?" She asked.

"Do you even have to ask that?" Hajoon threw her earlier question back at her, earning a laugh as he pulled her down on top of him and press his lips to hers.

Any hopes of extending Hajoon's birthday present were shattered as their bedroom door burst open, and Hajoon just barely managed to tuck himself back into his pants before Jason and Hailey threw themselves onto the bed with their parents. "Happy birthday, Appa!" The pups chorused, fighting to climb into his lap before the other.

"Hey, there's plenty of cuddles to go around!" Hajoon said, stopping Jason and Hailey's fighting by pulling both omegas into his lap at once, alternating kisses between each of their foreheads.

Chapter 12: Month 391

Chapter Text

"And we're gonna go to the river and go fishing and sleep in a tent and make a fire and roast so many marshmallows!" Julie's eyes were bright with excitement as she listed all of the things she was apparently planning for their family to do that weekend while camping at Kern River.

"And I'll be teaching you your Halabeoji's perfect marshmallow roasting technique." Hana promised. "But first you need to get a good night's rest. The faster you go to sleep, the faster it'll be tomorrow when we live." Julie instantly snuggled under her blankets and closed her eyes tightly. "Goodnight, Julie. I love you." Hana leaned down to press a kiss to Julie's forehead as the seven-year-old murmured that she loved her too.

After leaving Julie's room, Hana poked her head into David's to make sure the two-year-old was still sleeping peacefully before going on up to her and Jaehyun's room. She finally changed out of her clothes from the day into her pajamas and grabbed her anniversary gift for Jaehyun from its hiding spot just as the 33-year-old joined her in their room with a plate full of chocolate covered strawberries. "Someone's looking to get laid tonight." Hana giggled as Jaehyun held a strawberry up for her to bite into.

"Or I just wanted to make a special treat to celebrate 10 years of being mated to the kindest, smartest, most beautiful omega in the world." Hana's cheeks flushed as she leaned up to press her lips to Jaehyun's.

Jaehyun grabbed Hana's gift from where he'd been keeping it and the two of them got comfortable on their bed with their chocolate covered strawberries. Hana handed her gift to Jaehyun first, the alpha quickly unwrapping it to find a recipe card tin that Hana had David and Julie fingerpaint one Sunday when Jaehyun had been paged into the zoo for an emergency with one of the gorillas. "You've been sharing more of your mom's recipes with Julie lately and I know how much you like to organize things so I thought you'd like a place to keep all your family recipes." Hana said.

"So simple yet so perfect." Jaehyun smiled. "I love it, thank you." He leaned over to give Hana a soft kiss before handing her his gift.

Even though Hana knew Jaehyun loved his gift--because although the alpha was the type to lie and say he liked something just to not hurt someone's feelings, he was terrible at keeping his expression neutral enough to sell the lie--Hana couldn't help but feel like she hadn't put enough thought into the gift as she unwrapped hers. Jaehyun had gotten her an aluminum picture frame with spots for multiple pictures and had already filled each spot with pictures of them throughout the years, literally from the very first picture that existed of the two of them together. Young toddler Jaehyun holding infant Hana in his lap with their moms on either side of them to make sure Jaehyun didn't drop her, them as pups petting the goats at the county fair, Hana's first day of work at Jinnie's restaurant when Jaehyun was showing her how to refill the sauce bottles for the tables, their prom picture from the one year they had gone to the dance, their kiss at their mating ceremony, their first family picture at Julie's first Christmas when she was just a week old, the four of them in Hana's hospital bed after David was born when Julie got to meet her little brother for the first time. "We've had such an amazing life together." Hana said softly.

"The best life." Jaehyun murmured, dropping a kiss to Hana's shoulder.

Hana turned her head to properly kiss Jaehyun, her lips parting against his to deepen the kiss instantly. Jaehyun pressed closer to Hana and, without breaking the kiss, they worked to gently set their anniversary gifts and the chocolate covered strawberries to the side so they wouldn't end up getting kicked to the floor. With their bed clear, Hana shifted to lay back against her side of the nest, pulling Jaehyun on top of her as she went. As Jaehyun got settled on top of her, her thighs parted to allow his hips in between them, Hana's hands drifted down to the hem of his shirt to start tugging it up. Jaehyun broke the kiss so he could tug his shirt over his head, then leaned back down to attach his lips to Hana's scent gland, kissing his way along her neck. As he trailed his lips down towards her shoulder, he tugged the strap of her pajama shirt down, lowering the top of her shirt until her breast was free.

"Eomma!" David's voice suddenly rang from downstairs.

Both Hana and Jaehyun let out sighs of disappointment as Jaehyun rolled off of Hana. Fixing her pajama shirt, Hana climbed out of bed and left their room to head downstairs. She found David standing at the gate at the bottom of that first flight of stairs, his glow in the dark star blanket clutched tightly in his hand. "Why aren't you bed, puppy?" Hana asked.

David held his arms up. "Sleep with Eomma and Appa."

"Okay, come on." Hana leaned over the gate to pick him up, grunting a bit under his weight before setting him down next to her. She then followed behind him as he carefully made his way up the stairs to his parents' room.

Chapter 13: Month 392

Chapter Text

It was bittersweet, Jimin's last ever semifinals competition before stepping down from traveling. Knowing it was one of the last times that he would get to see his dancers on that stage, giving it their all to make it to the finals. The last time he'd be able to help them with their hair and makeup while giving pep talks before their solos. But he was also closer to having more time to spend with his mate, his pups, and his grandpups. He'd been going through the swirl of emotions since arriving in Savannah on Sunday, but that day they were drowned out by anticipation as he kept checking his phone while fixing one of his dancers' hair before her solo performance.

"What's got your attention?" Chan asked curiously as he arrived in the backstage area with a water bottle and protein bar delivery.

"Emmy nomination livestream." Jimin said, reaching out to turn up the volume on his phone.

"Since when do you care about that?"

Jimin shot him an incredulous look. "Since my daughter had an extremely popular and well received TV show that everyone's saying is definitely a top contender for all the comedy categories. Now shush."

The livestream finally got on with it, the host beginning to list the nominees, starting with the outstanding writing categories. "And the nominees for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series…The Korean Americans: "Middle School Blues"--Hana Min-

Jimin didn't even hear the rest of the writers for that episode being listed as he let out a scream of delight, jumping up and down in excitement. "My daughter is an Emmy nominated writer!"

***

"Eomma, you look like you're vibrating." Julie said as Hana buzzed around the kitchen while Julie and David ate their breakfast at the table.

"That's what Eomma looks like when she's very, very, very happy." Jaehyun said.

"Why are you so happy?" Julie asked curiously. "Did you wake up to Milo snuggling you? That makes me really happy."

Hana let out a giggle. "No, I did not. Eomma's tv show has been nominated in every comedy category at the Primetime Emmys this year!"

Julie started to cheer and clap, David quickly following suit, but then she paused and furrowed her eyebrows. "What are the Primetime Emmys?"

"They're the most important award show for American television." Jaehyun explained. "And your eomma's show has a chance to win seven awards. Technically two chances for Outstanding Writing since two different episodes were nominated for that one."

"So Eomma has the best TV show ever?" Julie asked in awe.

"Yes she does." Jaehyun nodded.

Hana snorted and playfully shoved Jaehyun's shoulder as her face flushed. "Stop it." She turned back to Julie. "You wanna know what's really cool though? You know Lili?"

Julie nodded. "She's the one who plays you, right?"

"That's right." Hana said. "She is up for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series award, and since she's only 11, that makes her the youngest ever nominated in this specific category." Awe filled Julie's face as the front door opened. "Eloise is here! You two have such a fun day with her!" Hana pressed a kiss to both Julie and David's foreheads, stepping back so Jaehyun could do the same just as Eloise entered the room.

"Congrats on your nominations!" Eloise exclaimed as she settled at the table with the pups. "I have the coolest employer in the world."

"Well, thank you." Hana giggled. "As always, call or text if you need anything."

As Hana and Jaehyun made their way out to Hana's car so Hana could take Jaehyun to the zoo before going to the bakery she'd preemptively ordered cupcakes from for the cast and crew to celebrate their nominations just in case--and if they hadn't been nominated then she would have planned for them to be a 'we'll get them next time' type of encouragement--Jaehyun wrapped an arm around Hana's waist, pulling her into his side. "Can't wait to get to work and brag about how badass my mate is."

"You should be doing that every day already." Hana said.

"I do." Jaehyun nodded. "But now I have a new bragging point." He leaned down to press a kiss to her cheek before releasing her so he could climb into the car.

Chapter 14: Eunji's 26th Birthday

Chapter Text

As Eunji reached out to turn her alarm off, she felt a pair of hands slip up her pajama shirt to cup her breasts. "Why?" She asked.

"Because they're nice," Bai murmured, brushing his lips against her shoulder as he fondled her breasts like he did almost every morning.

Also like almost every morning, Eunji laid there, letting Bai have his fun, not letting the fact that she was enjoying it herself show on her face because that would just make it too easy for the alpha. After a few minutes, however, Eunji decided it was time for Bai's daily dose of torment. "So I see you don't love me anymore."

Bai's hands stilled and Eunji had stifle a laugh at the exasperated sigh he gave. "Why don't I love you this time?"

"Because we've been awake for nearly five minutes and there are two words you have yet to say that should have been the first thing out of your mouth this morning," Eunji said.

Bai rolled Eunji onto her back, hovering over her as their eyes met. "Happy birthday," he finally said.

"See, I just don’t think you put enough emotion behind them." Bai let out a laugh that was both frustrated and endeared. "Try it again, but this time put more passion-" Eunji didn't get to finish her thought as Bai leaned down to capture her lips in his.

Eunji shifted under Bai so she could wrap her legs around his waist, parting her lips against his to deepen the kiss. Morning sex wasn't a common occurrence for them. With the chaos that was getting two pups and themselves ready for the day, getting the house prepared for Eunji's daycare, and Bai wanting to get out on the road before I-40 commute traffic got too bad, the two of them preferred to save all sexy times for the end of the day after Bo and Jia were in bed asleep. But that morning, Eunji was leaning towards making an exception, especially when Bai ground his hips against hers, letting her feel the hard length of his dick through their pajamas.

Before they could move in that direction, however, the bedroom door creaked open, causing them to break apart and sit up as Bo ran over to the bed with a bright smile on his face. "Happy birthday, Eomma!"

"Thank you, kkoma!" Eunji reached down to pick the three-year-old up, cradling him in her lap as she peppered his face with kisses.

Bai started speaking to Bo in Mandarin and as Bo responded in a mixture of Mandarin and English, Eunji lightly scented the three-year-old, not even bothering to try to keep up with their conversation. One would think with four years of high school Chinese on top of spending most of her free time in a house full of Mandarin speakers would have made her completely fluent, but Eunji was lucky to be able to understand more than a few words or phrases. The Mandarin came to an abrupt stop as Bo suddenly switched fully to English in order to ask, "What's that bump in your pants, Appa?"

Eunji barely stopped herself from bursting into laughter as Bai's face turned bright red. Instead, she decided to be nice to her fiancé for once by distracting their son. "How about we go see if Jia's ready to get up?" The adoration for his little sister was apparently on Bo's face as he scrambled to climb out of Eunji's lap and off the bed. As the three-year-old ran out of the room to go to Jia's room, Eunji turned to Bai and wiggled her eyebrows. "So what is that bump in your pants?" Bai responded by reaching out to flick the tip of Eunji's nose. "I'm gonna call my dad and tell him you're abusing me."

"You do way worse to me on a regular basis," Bair retorted, leaning in to press his lips to Eunji's before getting up to go to the bathroom.

Like a typical Monday morning, it was a struggle to get both pups dressed for the day, for Eunji and Bai to get themselves ready, and to get the house ready for Eunji's daycare pups to begin arriving. They were still working on that last one, Bai attempting to brush Jia's hair as the 18-month-old squirmed and whined while Eunji mixed together some waffle batter for that morning's breakfast. At least Bo was able to keep himself occupied, busying himself with the ocean animals fishing game Eunji had prepared for the day. "Alright, I think you are finally ready to go!" Bai released Jia once he finished pulling her hair into two pigtails to keep it out of her face. "And now Baba's gotta go to work." He pressed a few kisses to Jia's cheek until she was smiling before moving to hug and kiss Bo.

"You're gonna get Wingstop for dinner?" Bo asked with a serious expression. "It's Eomma's favorite."

"Of course I'm gonna get Wingstop," Bai assured him. "We can't not have Wingstop on Eomma's birthday." He pressed a kiss to the top of the three-year old's head before heading on into the kitchen and hugging Eunji from behind. "I'm heading to work. I love you."

"Don't get run off the road between here and Russellville," Eunji said.

"So I can get run off the road once I'm in Russellville?" Bai asked, and when Eunji turned to shoot him a look, he dipped his head down to sweetly kiss her before releasing her.

"Don't forget the Wingstop!" Eunji called after Bai as he grabbed his shoes from the rack by the door.

Even Jia felt the need to remind him. "Baba, intop!"

Bai let out a fond chuckle. "I will have Wingstop when I get home from work,” he promised before grabbing his work bag from the hook by the door and leaving.

Chapter 15: Sunwoo's 27th Birthday

Notes:

It's still Yoongi's birthday here in Arkansas so happy birthday Yoongi! <3

Chapter Text

The Cowboys being in the off season plus the pups being at Amelia's as well as it being Sunwoo's birthday meant Sunwoo was in pure heaven. He'd long lost count of how many times Jaesung had knotted him throughout the day, how many orgasms the alpha had coaxed out of him, and as he felt Jaesung's knot swelling once again with each thrust of the alpha's hips, Sunwoo didn't even care that he would definitely be feeling the effects of their active day during his training camp session that night. That was a problem for Future Sunwoo to worry about.

Jaesung gave a particularly sharp thrust that made Sunwoo moan loudly, the omega digging his nails into his boyfriend's back. Sunwoo craned his head to capture Jaesung's lips in a heated kiss that was mostly tongue and teeth scraping while lifting his hips to meet Jaesung's thrusts more insistently, desperately chasing the high he could only get from the alpha's knot. Finally Jaesung pushed his knot inside Sunwoo, sending them both over the edge together as it locked in place.

While coming down from their shared high, Jaesung pressing soft kisses all across Sunwoo's face and along his neck, Sunwoo's phone began buzzing on the bedside table. Sunwoo squirmed a bit underneath Jaesung so he could reach out and grab his phone. "That means it is time to start getting ready for my parents to get here for dinner." As usual, the finals for Hope World Studios' competition group were scheduled around Sunwoo's birthday, and that year they were being held in Arlington, meaning Sunwoo's mother was already set to be in the Dallas area for the weekend. And since the day the group traveled to Dallas was Sunwoo's birthday, his dad had decided to tag along so that he could celebrate Sunwoo's birthday in person. So they'd planned for Sunwoo's parents to come over for dinner before he had to go to practice.

"Well we're kind of stuck for the time being." Jaesung pointedly directed his gaze down to where their bodies were connected by his knot.

"Obviously not right this very second," Sunwoo said with a laugh. "But once your knot is down, we'll need to shower and tidy up and get the food started-" Sunwoo's rambling was cut off before it could truly start by Jaesung softly brushing his lips over Sunwoo's.

When Jaesung's knot finally went down, they jumped into the shower just long enough to clean up the traces of their active day, Sunwoo wanting to save his proper shower for after he got back from practice. Then Sunwoo focused on tidying up the downstairs area while Jaesung started cooking dinner. Once Sunwoo was satisfied with the state of the house, he hurried back to the kitchen to get started on his own dinner, as the pasta dish Jaesung was currently making was just a bit too heavy for how close Sunwoo was to his practice time. "Oh my god, that smells so good!" Sunwoo was nearly salivating as he glanced over at Jaesung stirring vegan cream cheese and vegan parmesan into the sauce while preparing his own oatmeal. "That's gonna hit so hard after practice." Jaesung responded by wrapping his arm around Sunwoo's waist and pulling him close to give him a quick kiss.

As Jaesung finished up the pasta and Sunwoo stirred a tiny amount of peanut butter into his oatmeal, the doorbell rang, prompting Sunwoo to abruptly abandon his bowl of oatmeal in order to run to the door. "Eomma!" He exclaimed as soon as he opened the door, throwing himself at his mother in a tight hug.

"My honeybun!" Sunwoo's mom hugged him back just as tightly, deeply inhaling his scent. "Happy birthday!" When he got his fill of his mom, Sunwoo turned to hug his dad just as enthusiastically.

Sunwoo led his parents to the kitchen where Jaesung was now slicing up a banana over Sunwoo's bowl of oatmeal. "You didn't have to do that for me." Sunwoo smiled gratefully as he picked up his bowl of oatmeal that was now topped with banana slices and Jaesung just let out a hum.

"You're not eating with us?" Sunwoo's dad asked, frowning slightly.

"I don't eat my big dinner until after practice usually," Sunwoo said. "This is all I need for now."

They migrated out to the back patio where Jaesung had already set up the pan with the pasta, bowls, utensils, and drinks for everyone, as Sunwoo they were on a bit of a time limit before Jaesung and Sunwoo would have to leave in order to not get caught in traffic heading to The Star. "We could have come over later then," Sunwoo's dad said.

"And make y'all wait to eat until nearly midnight when Eomma has to be up early tomorrow?" Sunwoo asked as Jaesung began doling out portions of pasta for the three of them. "Speaking of, you're really retiring after finals?"

"I'm still gonna be teaching at the studio," Sunwoo's mom said. "But yeah, after this weekend, I will no longer be the Competition Director."

"That's crazy to think of, when you've been doing this nearly my whole life," Sunwoo mused.

Sunwoo's mom hummed. "Speaking of big changes, you're in your fifth year as a DCC. Isn't that usually when most retire?"

"Yeah but I haven't really decided on that yet," Sunwoo said. "I'm waiting to see what Minjoon decides. I absolutely love what I do, but this has always been a thing for us to do together so if he decides he's done after this year then I'll retire too, and if he wants to go for a sixth year, then I'll go on to be a sixth-year veteran as well."

They chatted and caught up over their meal until Sunwoo's phone started buzzing from the alarm he had set. "Excuse me, I need to go get ready for practice."

"We'll help you clean up," Sunwoo heard his dad say to Jaesung as he headed inside and upstairs.

After changing into that day's assigned training camp uniform, doing his makeup, fixing his hair, pulling one of Jaesung's shirts on over his uniform, and double checking that his dance bag had his poms and boots, Sunwoo headed back downstairs where Jaesung and his parents were both waiting near the door so they could all walk out together. Sunwoo couldn't help but notice an odd yet familiar expression on his dad's face as well as the telltale twitch of his dad's hand as if he was holding himself back from clutching his chest. "Daddy, why do you look like you're about to have one of your heart attacks?"

"Because your father is dramatic," Sunwoo's mom said, reaching out to pull him into another hug. "I'm excited to get to see you more throughout the weekend before we head back home."

"Me too," Sunwoo said, indulging himself in as many hugs from his parents as he could get before he and Jaesung absolutely had to get on the road.
