You lean in to meet her, and your lips press to hers gently - only to separate swiftly, as the newly assembled replica tips over between you.
“Shit!” Grace hisses. Her hands dart out to catch it, but instead she knocks it further, causing some pieces to fall out. “Fuck, oh man,” she groans, putting her face in her hands. “I’m such a klutz,” she mumbles.
You fail to hold back a giggle, and start picking up the pieces. Grace had found it at a garage sale only days before, so it wasn’t in the best condition, but you knew - at least, from what she’s told you - that her uncle would appreciate it regardless. If only it wouldn’t fall apart so easily.
“You are a klutz,” you agree fondly, “and it’s fucking adorable.”

It's Grace's uncle's birthday, and Grace has invited you to help her set up Leon's gift. It goes about as well as can be expected from two clumsy women.

Wyll had never been good at wanting things. It always came with a tremendous amount of guilt that almost made the things he wanted no longer worth it. But even with the guilt, his heart had never ceased its dreadful longing, and that had only grown the longer Wyll spent away from Astarion. Now that he was here, sitting in front of Wyll and smiling as though no time had passed at all, Wyll’s heart wanted nothing more than to rip itself from his chest and take permanent residence in Astarion’s hands.
Instead, Wyll hid the nervous clearing of his throat behind the sound of the tap water, and hung the rag over the side of the basin to dry. He turned back to Astarion, resuming his professionalism.
"What can I get you, my friend?” he asked.

It's been a year since they defeated the Netherbrain, and Wyll has made a life for himself out in the wilds of the Sword Coast. When Winter comes, and Wyll sequesters within a tavern inn, he's joined by an old friend who hasn't left his mind - or his heart - even after all this time.

Had Lae’zel a knack for words like Wyll, she might paint a poetic picture of the woman who emerged from the vehicle before her. As it was, however, Lae’zel hadn’t the skill of oration, and so she simply stood, struck speechless, at perhaps the most beautiful woman she’d ever seen. Coal-black hair contrasted her bright green eyes, and while her attire was casual, the woman stood primly, her expression polite but reserved. She held Lae’zel’s gaze firmly, and Lae’zel felt rooted in place.

Cassandra fell asleep that night to the gentle showers of what remained of the storm pattering against her tent, and saw flashes of Vivienne's spells in the distant lightning. She tossed and turned, and watched Vivienne's face on the back of her eyelids. When she finally slept, she had fitful dreams, and the ever present sense of Vivienne's warmth, and her faint vanilla scent, enveloping Cassandra.
When she awoke, she almost forgot it all. But there was a lingering sensation, like she had stirred from a gentle hand on her face, that drew her thoughts right back to Madame de Fer.

Ed tried to fan the spark of righteous indignation but under the soft gaze of the moon, the spark sputtered and died. He had to admit that there was some truth to Holga’s claim. Because he had been characteristically verbose on the subject of the defeat of Forge. To all and sundry, he related the tale of how his band of thieves had saved Neverwinter from the clutches of Forge, Sofina, and Szass Tam. Hell, even the poor slobs who’d got eaten by the dragon made an appearance in those stories. But, as if in counterbalance—a silent arrangement made without ever once acknowledging he was doing it—the one person he never mentioned during his ramblings had been Xenk Yendar.
