Geralt has only ever talked about one nuisance bard, the one that wrote the fucking song that has people throwing coppers at him when he walks into bars. Jaskier something or other, who gives a shit, “Why the fuck is he here?”“To winter with me,” Geralt snaps, a warning in his tone Lambert readily ignores. “Problem?”
“Yeah, the problem is the strange prostitute you brought to The Keep!!” Lambert exclaims, because he’d had a feeling Geralt was smitten, but apparently, he’s an idiot and doesn’t know a bad idea when he sees one if it smiles at him pretty enough.
“Hey, I’m at least a strange courtesan!” the bard calls.
(Lambert is extremely protective of the very little he has, including his brother. Jaskier is a threat to all of them, he doesn’t get why everyone doesn’t see that.)

Today was, without a single doubt, the most peculiar day of Jaskier’s life.
“I’m sorry,” he said to Yennefer, blinking up at her, very glad that he was seated on the side of the thin bed. “I think you just said that I’m pregnant.”
The sorceress’s violet eyes harbored not an iota of humor. She crossed her arms under her ample bosom, and said, “You are pregnant.”
“Pregnant with a magnificent bounty of well-crafted songs?”
Her eyes narrowed. Under any other circumstances, he would have felt a mighty frisson of fear skittering down his spine. He was far too horrified of the words that rolled off her plump, red-painted lips next.
“You are pregnant with a baby.”
______________________________________In which Jaskier discovers that he's mysteriously pregnant but wants the baby, Geralt finally learns to use his words after twenty years, Yennefer is so done with two idiots in love and their communication problems, and Ciri gains a new family.

Summary
OP Summary: Jaskier is a peculiar man. He stays up late and rises early, he fusses over pinning techniques at the tailor's shop, and he is forever spinning thread without a purpose. He's a puzzle, but one which Geralt has grown used to. Perhaps even fond of. Quite fond of. With the coming of autumn after many years on the road, Geralt contemplates asking Jaskier along to Kaer Morhen, but when he loses his nerve, he finds he loses his bard as well, for Jaskier disappears over the winter and is nowhere to be found. But Geralt's not the only one in crisis; people are fleeing Lyria en masse as rose vines and brambles overtake the landscape from some unknown source. A very old magic is a work, alive and well, and seeking the revenge for which it was born.
Alt - Jaskier is the hereditary Sleeping Beauty, becoming the next victim after his great grandmother's curse was sealed away in stone. The stone, now crumbling, has released its curse, and the terms have eroded into something new and far more terrible. It is coming for him with a vengeance, and all his running cannot save him from such old magic. But perhaps there's something else that can, if only Geralt can evade the vines long enough to employ the oldest magic of all.

Polites stumbled through the gnarled brush, bare legs catching on thorns, cloak shredded and damp with blood. His left hand, trembling and slick, pressed hard to the side of his throat. The wound burned, hot and raw, pulsing with every heartbeat. Blood still trickled, a slow river staining the collar of his tunic and the front of his armor, which was half-buckled and askew.
Only one thought was pushing him forward: Ody.
Now, he was bleeding his way home.
He’d been on patrol. The Trojan patrol was supposed to be leagues away. The scouts had sworn it.
But a blade had whispered otherwise.
Or, while on patrol, Polites is attacked and left for dead. He overhears the Trojans' plan to assassinate Odysseus and the other Greek leaders. Now, Polites is in a race against time to save his friend's life.

Too bad the last time he saw that person was in 1889, when his Stranger walked out into the rain. And that had been because Hob had dared to call them friends.
Hob's certain he'll be alright though. He's resilient, smart, and stupidly stubborn. He'll figure out a way out of this mess.
(Even if he has to use a bit of magic to do so).

As the medic and the king's best friend, he had to follow him to Odysseus' new hiding spot to check on him. That was where he found the baby, the teeny tiny baby in desperate need of a new parent thanks to the war waging around them.
